Merre Be is undergoing renovations. It depends on what you are looking for. If it is luxury accommodation you want then Merre Be is not for you. If it is a comfortable place in a very convenient location then Merre Be could be what you are looking for. It is very close to a bus stop, restaurants and Hobart City.... More

This is an ok place that advertises as a B&B, but has not served breakfast in years apparently. I booked on Expedia and thought there was breakfast. The location is actually great and there are several breakfast places near by, plus a Woolworths a block away. I actually feel this is the best location in SandyBay for the business traveler.... This is the 3rd time we've stayed at Merre Be's , very quiet and central location close to everything in Sandy Bay, Hobart. While they no longer do breakfast there are plenty of eateries close by so it's not an issue. Current renovations should further improve this establishment, we will certainly come back again without hesitation.

We booked heritage accommodation in a good location and received a very run down, in need of renovation and decoration room. There were cracks in the walls, ceiling and window. The bed was so firm as to deny all comfort. The room was so poorly furnished that it lacked all amenity, we had to put the kettle on the floor... More

I recently had a few days celebrating my anniversay with my husband and stayed in this lovely accommodation complete with spa bath, parking, beautiful furnishings and comfortable bed. The owner, Mary, was extremely helpful and friendly, and she gave us some advice on good restaurants close by to eat. I can thoroughly recommend MerreBe's to any traveller looking for something... Great location downhill from there, smells musky, small bathroom with a shower curtain that wraps around your legs, trundle bed might suit a midget in Velcro PJs cause nothing else would keep one from rolling of the convex mattress. Door bell didn't work nor did the phone! On the upside there was filter coffee and woollies is 100 m away.

Stayed at Merre Be's overnight on business. Got the key taped to the front door and went to our warm room, the heater was turned on. Pleasant surprise and found everything we need in the room (tea, coffee, iron, etc). Strong water pressure in the shower, clean bathroom, the beds have electric blankets. Choice of restaurants along the same street... More

My family and I stayed here for dark mofo, which happened to be my birthday. We arrived in the evening, it was FREEZING, (middle of June) and although the owner knew we were coming she had not turned on any heating in the room, on looking we found one ancient panel heater to heat a twin room for 3 people.... It felt a bit like we were staying at our great Aunt's place. The room was ok but the furnishings were dated and we felt like we had no privacy. We were woken up at around 8am in the morning by a staff member ironing sheets just a couple of metres outside our door. We felt like we couldn't even... More
