Everything you could ask for in a budget hotel and more! Clean, comfortable (if a bit dated) room, friendly and helpful staff, great meals, 24 hour bottleshop, wide variety of entertainment. 5 minutes walk to the city and the airport shuttle bus drops off and picks up right outside the front door. Will definitely stay here again.

Wow we had the best meal with friends here. My Seafood selection was amazing and I cant wait to go back and order it again! Prawns,3 scallops, 2-3 pieces of white fish all in a light batter, topped with the most tender salt n pepper calamari I have ever had! Served with a very nice fresh salad and the best... More

Brendan and his staff are competent, friendly and helpful. I stayed twice in room 3 of this solid, well equipped and well situated hotel, only a short walk from the city-centre. As a customer you are taken seriously there and treated like a mate. The quality of the bar food and of the breakfast is excellent. The quiz-night was real... More

Was pleased with this hotel with its big 4 bed family room for $190 on a Saturday night as it was very bright and clean. Tea and coffee making facilitiesin a small kitchenette next door. Breakfast was a continental one downstairs as part of the price. Very pleased with the place and position. Would return.

Booked this for one night on my way back to Hobart airport. The premises is actually a pub and bottlestore with two floors of letting rooms above. When I checked in and proceeded to carry my luggage up to the second floor I was a little apprehensive about what I had let myself in for, but I was pleasantly surprised... More

This was good little hotel. It was a little bit outside of Hobart and was about 5-10 min walk to get to the downtown, which is not bad. Our room was great with three single rooms. It was simple, clean, and quiet. Now we were there on a quiet weekend and at the end of the hall, but it still... More

On arrival the manager was nothing but rude but the other staff member we met was okay, quiet and didn't say much but much better then him. The motel is cheap and nasty and needs a lot of money spent on it to become a good place to stay. Thin walls and located next to a 24hour bottle shop that... More

Dont bother staying tree on the weekends! 24 hr bottle shop onsite. Too many noisy ppl driving in and then screeching of tyres and yelling. Don't plan to get any sleep!

It's a matter of you get what you pay for. $80inc breakfast, fairly centrally located, cheap night time meals. I would stay here again for the price.
