As many others have mentioned if you are looking for the typical B&B experience with a warm and fuzzy welcoming owner, breakfast etc keep looking. However if you are just looking for a nice place to stay at a reasonable price in good location and are ok with those things missing then it's a really nice place. We had room... More

If you want a 5 star luxury hotel then this is definitely not the place to go. That being said, it also isn't the worst place to go. Downsides: it looks run down from the outside (I mean it WAS built in 1834!) and does lack a few aspects. There is no breakfast service/café or restaurant attached this building either.... More

We spent 4 nights during the wooden boat festival. Owners are quite nice but room was shabby. Door stopper was broken my husband had to tape it down the bath tap was missing and beds weren't made properly every day specially when we had to pay $350 a night.

We loved our stay here.. Quaint, cozy and friendly .. The view from the roof top is amazing !! It's in a perfect location to walk to everything . The rooms are a great size and it's very quiet and peaceful. Thanks Roz .

Quiet location, large room, we had room 4, close to all the action. Beautiful historic precinct, good on site parking. Handy to quality cafés for breakfast and classy eating and drinking for night time quiet meals. If you like historic places and areas with good proximity to everything this is hard to beat. Very peaceful location in good neighbourhood. The... More

This place is warm, conveniently situated, and very welcoming. The rooms are large, most with great views over the Derwent, and the facilities more than adequate. The management are unobtrusive but most helpful. Hobart does not have a better place to stay

If you are looking for a true escape and the simple life, where the people are friendly, the rooms are warm and cosy and extremely spacious. A place where modern technology does not take over from seeing and appreciating what is around you and where connecting with locals is a normal way of life then get in touch with Roz... More

Soooo close to Salamanca! Our twin room was clean, huge, bathroom with good hot water, hair dryer, and heater. Comfortable beds with electric blankets. Lovely view from the window, tea and instant coffee available in the little common lounge. If you are looking for deluxe, 5 star, this is not for you, but we really liked the friendly, homey atmosphere,... More

We arrived early in the morning during the end of the Easter/Anzac week for a few nights stay to check out Hobart. For two couples, the rooms were ideal; very spacious, both with ensuites and water views. Yes, the place is a little different to other accommodation options in the area, but this is what makes it so special. The... More

This was our second visit to Battery Point Manor and hopefully it will not be our last. Built in the 18th century it is a building with lots of character. There are not many rooms so it is peaceful and quiet. We love the spacious and charming rooms with views over the harbour. The location is excellent and in the... More
