We stayed for the Wooden Boat Festival long weekend and we thought the location was perfect for this. Right above Salamanca. Was amazing to see the Salamanca Market being set up and we had a terrific view from our windows. The king bed & pillows were super comfy and the room was very clean and spacious enough for the 2... We chose this accommodation due to its central location which was undoubtedly terrific. Unfortunately, like many others who have stayed here, the zero sound proofing of the room marred our entire trip. We were there Thurs / Fri / Saturday nights and got VERY little sleep due to both the outside noise from pubs, music, drunks but - worse still... More

Stayed at the Quarry for 4 nights including a Friday and Saturday night. The apartments are modern and spacious designed within the existing quarry structure. The location is very central to The pier and a 10 minute walk to the CBD. The bathroom is modern and compact. Plenty of mirrors and a shower/bath concept. The shower has an exposed glass... More

In Hobart for Sydney to Hobart yacht race to meet my partner. Ideal location, room clean and tidy and facing the rear so quiet. Not being able to open the window and no air conditioning a bit of an issue for me, but fan helped a little. Blocked sink staff quickly dealt with and were overal very friendly and helpful.... More

If Hobart Council needs major money, they should send the health inspector here. On a 10% surcharge day, (first of January 2015) advertised all over this dump, we received a bottle of foul muddy tasting water, in an old glass bottle washed a week ago, with a top chipped all over. I could not see any glass chips in the... More

We arrived at these very comfortable apartments late on a friday night. Woke next morning to find a massive tent city had popped up overnight under our window: the famous Salamanca markets. What an incredible location, in the heart of Salamanca (markets, bars, restaurants, harbour), across the road from the MONA ferry, only a few blocks from the Tasmanian Museum... More

We recently stayed at this property in the Market room for 4 nights. As there are mixed reviews on this property I will attempt to address each issue I have read on here honestly. Management and staff were a pleasure to deal with and took our bags up to our room. The room was clean and had everything you could... More

I take some reviews with a grain of salt as some people are hard to please, however this place is terrible. Sure, the stone walls are lovely, but I would prefer a clean, well equipped room that can provide me with a good night's sleep. Hairs in the bath, makeup on a pillow, missing crockery & cutlery, lack of hanging... More

Great accommodation in a great location. We were cautious to book this because of comments about noise, however we stayed in "Market" & didn't have an issue. Breakfast was outstanding. Only downside to the apartment was a lack of adequate lighting at head height (eg. for make up application). Would definitely stay here again!

You cannot beat Salamanca place as a location and these cute appt are at the quiet end. Gorgeous inside, exposed sandstone well appointed. We stayed in Kennedy facing away from street to avoid noise as we really wanted to sleep well. The staff were incredibly helpful really, even when we were to miss included breakfast to catch early plane they... More
