Stayed here for one night to get ready for a hens party and have a central location to return to. Super easy check in with friendly staff, when we mentioned our reason for staying we were offered a late checkout which was much appreciated. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed. Downside heaps of internal noise. The... More

We stayed for a long weekend at the Quarry Salamanca. You could not get more central in Hobart and we walked everywhere as we didn't have a car. It is a little noisy at night but it really didn't bother us, waking up to the Markets being on your doorstep was fabulous. The food at the cafe with included breakfast... More

We selected Quarry due to the location right on Salamanca Place and we weren't disappointed. We were in the front facing Waterman room. There was some noise from the bar below but it was not excessive. There was also noise on the Saturday morning due to the market being set up. I would recommend a front facing room higher up... check in is in the cafe next door where they don't have our booking logged, no parking and terrible outlook. The room is very pleasant but they can't be serious about the outlook and poor service .......

Stayed here for a long weekend back in June. The location is the reason why you stay here. You are close to the markets, theres plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and pubs at your door step and if you are heading off to Mona, you are a 3 minute walk from the boat. The rooms show off the original brick work... More

As mentioned in prior reviews this apartment is very nice, modern and clean. We stayed in the 'Market' room, which is front facing on the top floor, there is a view of the park but cant really see the harbour. Upon arrival you check in at the cafe called 'Zum' and then walk next door and access the apartments with... More

I did not stay here but the delightful bar and restaurant had a very quirky Gents loo and you enter at your peril lol :-D I had an excellent meal and drink her, during the, ever popular, weekly Salamanca Market.

The rooms are amazing. Nice use of original stone work and wood mixed with modern facilities. Shame they couldn't spend the money on double or triple glazed windows. When they say "above a bar" it's an Irish bar with loud music and louder patrons. It's ok they go just before the cafe sets up and uses a leaf blower as... More

We stayed for the Wooden Boat Festival long weekend and we thought the location was perfect for this. Right above Salamanca. Was amazing to see the Salamanca Market being set up and we had a terrific view from our windows. The king bed & pillows were super comfy and the room was very clean and spacious enough for the 2... We chose this accommodation due to its central location which was undoubtedly terrific. Unfortunately, like many others who have stayed here, the zero sound proofing of the room marred our entire trip. We were there Thurs / Fri / Saturday nights and got VERY little sleep due to both the outside noise from pubs, music, drunks but - worse still... More
