I stayed in a lower floor room with 10 beds for a couple of days. I saw cleaners buzzing around dorm rooms and common areas usually in the mornings and evening performing cleaning so yes, the place does get cleaned (I was a little worried due to previous "dirty" reviews). I also found the staff to be helpful when giving... More

I stayed in the 20 bed mixed dorm. No complaints in regards to the facilities - it is your usual hostel, average mattresses and squeaky bunks but good for what you pay for :) It is the cheapest hostel in Hobart and has great kitchen facilities and the usual bathroom situation. Would have put excellent for this hostel if it... More

Stayed in the hostel for one night in a 16 bed female dorm. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, most people's bed seemed to squeak as did the dorm door and the floor. The bathroom wasn't very clean and not all the doors locked. The lounge area was fine, but the kitchen was a bit dirty. It was ok for one... More

We stayed there two nights and night manager lady was awesome. She was very helpful, friendly and she maintained the environment great. No noise, clean and if you ask for anything it would be done in minutes. I was happy to stay in this place. Just book in and don't worry about anything else.

I chose this hostel because they said they has parking which actually meant 4 spaces in an alley... Very disappointing. Even if you get a space there alley parking isn't the best since it's a puzzle for people to be able to get to their cars. The reception staff is nice and helpful. Kitchen and facilities are pretty clean. There... More

I stayed two nights here in a 16bd female dorm. Staff were great, Melinda definitely gave the place a great vibe. Extremely welcoming, friendly and eager to help whenever she could. The common area and kitchen were very clean and tidy. The outdoor area was nice and relaxing, there was also a pool table and ping pong table available for... More

This hostel has everything you need and the most awesome, helpful staff! I stayed for 2 weeks and felt at home... the kitchen is okay with gas stoves (there ARE lighters for the stove, which is a big improvement compared with other hostels!!) and all the kitchen utensils and fridges you need. The showers and bathrooms are clean and the... More

Disclosure: I haven't really stayed in this hostel. I've booked them for a night's stay but my trip to Tassie ended up being a day trip. They have been very responsive in giving me directions around the city and they haven't charged me a dime when I decided to cancel the booking.

Stayed here one night after camping around Tasmania. It was great to have a bed. This hostel is cheap and doesn't provide much character. Unfortunately, while I was there the internet was down. I wish this was told to me before I checked in because I needed to prepare a lot of travel arrangements as it was my last night... More
