This is a very unique B&B which is totally self sufficient for power and water, but the lifestyle here is by no means impoverished. Our host David looked after us very well and accommodated us in well appointed and spacious bedrooms with private ensuites. Access is via a dirt road, easily navigable by conventional vehicles, but you need to be... More

This property is deep in bushland on the North coast, about a third of the way from the Eastern end. This means that the very best swimming beaches on the island start just to the West. It has two double rooms with ensuite bathrooms plus a third double room and a separate bathroom with sauna. There is a superbly equipped... More

The house is a Green Globe bench-mark and Advanced Eco Tourism Accredited. David, the owner, extremely kind and helpful. You get to experience wild life right there in the courtyard, with kangaroos and other animals. Very clean and spacious rooms. No keys and locks anywhere. There's a long dirty road to get to the house which I would not recommend... More

My partner and I stayed for four nights as part of his birthday celebrations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staying in ecologically sustainable accommodation is a wonderful way to really appreciate the natural beauty of Kangaroo Island - and there is plenty right outside the retreat, from amazing cliff top views to the kangaroos and wallabies grazing by the... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cape Cassini Wilderness retreat. It was a beautiful bed-and-breakfast, surrounded by spectacular wilderness and wildlife. Hospitality was fantastic and the host could provide so much advice on how to utilise our time on the island. Would definitely recommend this place for those who want a relaxing holiday or those keen to get submerged in... More

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cape Cassini Wilderness Retreat, from the wildlife that surrounds the house, to the breath-taking cliff top views, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on Kangaroo Island. During our stay, we spotted kangaroos, wallabies and birds at the water bowls, which the children loved. The cliff top is... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the beautiful guest house at Cape Cassini. Our room was superb with a magnificent view over the ocean. We enjoyed walking in the grounds and the visits of the local kangaroos to the garden. The hospitality was excellent and we made full use of the owner, David Welford's, experienced knowledge of the island. He... More

Cape Cassini Wilderness Retreat is a fabulous lodge, and I would highly recommend it as a base to explore Kangaroo Island. The Retreat is located on a secluded cliff on the northern shores of the island with stunning ocean-views. My family of four stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the many amnenities that were available. Our two rooms were spacious... More
