Great place to eat. Cook is a young man Mr Da Silva from Sri Lanka. Service good, prompt, friendly. Food ample proportions and tasty. Curries better than i have had in the big cities, The lamb could have been 'hotter' for my taste but would be just right for most Australian palates. A 'grey nomad' got up and announced to... More

Thought that the hotel was very nice considering it was still in a budget range. Good size room. Would have been good to have had a microwave and toaster in room to prepare breakfasts and other meals. Clean and tidy. Restaurant ok. We should have checked more for Senior special.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a DownUnder coach trip. The hotel is set out nicely, reception and dining areas easily accessible. Our room was quite large with adequate facilities, the bed was comfortable, and the room and en-suite clean. Our room was at the back of the complex where we found, after asking the reception,... We couldn't stay in our preferred Motel because it was booked out on one of the nights of our stay. But the Opal Inn wasn't too bad. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable. It was an easy walk around town. We ate at their Restaurant/Bistro and after several days of indifferent food during our road trip, we... More

There are quite few hotels in this small town. The reason is it's the centre of the Opal mining. The hotel is like the town; nothing fancy but everything is there. The place is clean (except the mold in the shower), airco works good, bed o.k.. Nice place to be as a startingpoint on some excursions in the area like... More

Room was booked for a business trip. Initially the room was what you would expect for the price; beds with minimal other furnishings, nothing out of the ordinary and functional. However Wifi was not working, and did not work for the entire stay, no reason given other than 'its not currently connected'. Secondly the showerhead broke, after notifying reception at... More

We stayed at the campground behind the hotel for a few days. The park is in a great location and a few minutes walk from the main area. The camp ground itself could be improved as no camp kitchen apart from a sink at the back of the park. It is dusty and the caravans are parked closely together, however... More

We enjoyed staying at this Park, amenities very good. No water to sites, but can be purchased across the road next to Info centre. Very friendly staff and helpful. Caravan Park part of the Opal Inn Hotel, and while we didn't try the dining room, the food seemed reasonably priced. Can walk to the town from Caravan Park.

Stayed here a few times in the rooms, my last stay was in the campground in a tent. Not much grass and a little noisy with the trucks but wasn't too bad. Showers are clean and pretty good, it costs 20 cents for four minutes to use the shower. $18 for unpowered but you get a 10% discount at the... More
