Staying for one night on a return journey from the top end, we decided to try a different motel in Coober Pedy and I'm sorry we did. This hotel was way over priced. The rooms were very basic and having booked in advance we were then unable to get the cheaper walk in rate which was almost $20 per room... More

We dined at the Opal Inn for the annual Coober Pedy Races event, and there was a special buffet dinner provided (with entertainment). The $35 cover price included the most fantastic display of dishes ever! Beautifully styled and artistically carved food items (watermelon, oranges, other melons and fruits) created a spectacular focal point for the buffet. Whilst the standard fare... More

This park has everything going for it. Clean...friendly operators. We found everything was top notch. The onlything that needs attention isthe parking part. Youfindyouown spot and because spots are not markedit becomes quite confusing

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Alice, and choose to stay again on our return trip. No issues at all. Ate in the restaurant both times - food was tasty and very generous portions. Easy walking distance to town.

We stayed here two nights in early Feb.15 The hotel is dated, the A/C was useless. The whole area around is HOT and dusty, its a convenient stopover. The staff we encountered at hotel were helpful and friendly. The computer in lobby didn't work during our stay

Great place to eat. Cook is a young man Mr Da Silva from Sri Lanka. Service good, prompt, friendly. Food ample proportions and tasty. Curries better than i have had in the big cities, The lamb could have been 'hotter' for my taste but would be just right for most Australian palates. A 'grey nomad' got up and announced to... More

Thought that the hotel was very nice considering it was still in a budget range. Good size room. Would have been good to have had a microwave and toaster in room to prepare breakfasts and other meals. Clean and tidy. Restaurant ok. We should have checked more for Senior special.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a DownUnder coach trip. The hotel is set out nicely, reception and dining areas easily accessible. Our room was quite large with adequate facilities, the bed was comfortable, and the room and en-suite clean. Our room was at the back of the complex where we found, after asking the reception,... We couldn't stay in our preferred Motel because it was booked out on one of the nights of our stay. But the Opal Inn wasn't too bad. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable. It was an easy walk around town. We ate at their Restaurant/Bistro and after several days of indifferent food during our road trip, we... More
