We arrived late by bus into Coober Pedy and were very grateful to have the free transport still waiting for us for the Motel. They were also very helpful making sure we had a very adequate meal delivered to our door. The experience of sleeping underground in constant temperatures is unique.Thank you to all.

Value for money somewhere different to the usual hotel experience. Good clean well ventilated rooms service upon arrival was excellent. Only thing was I could hear the room next door. Overall I would stay again great value for money especially to stay underground!

Nice comfortable accommodation.very clean and warm due to being underground. Fans provided good ventilation. Good free wifi in lounge area outside of room.good nights sleep as it is very dark and quiet. Would stay again.

Stayed for two nights in August 2014. I found the Lookout Cave Underground Motel to be welcoming, clean and comfortable. Rooms are naturally at 20-25degC all the year round. Continental breakfast is served in the room. (This is an independent review by a guest - I am not related to the business in any way.)

On price, this place wins hands-down, and the location is pretty good (behind the drive-in, on the hill, overlooking the town). Stayed on two separate occasions in July 2014. The foyer to the rooms is really nice, and the staff are relatively friendly and accommodating. The rooms are pretty basic, and to be far, probably need a bit of maintenance.... More

We stayed one night in the Lookout Cave Underground Motel with our two children and the service was excellent. It was freezing outside and about 25C inside so it too us a while to work out we didn't need as much bedding as we'd expected. Spacious beautiful well appointed underground rooms, spotlessly clean with free tea coffee and biscuits and... More

Three of us recently stayed at the lookout cave. We thought it was an amazing experience except for the little bits of sand falling on our heads while we slept was not as enjoyable, but the showers were amazing, loved the awesome pressure especially on a cold night when it's 3°c outside but 20°c in the room. Beds were okay,... More

All the staff were great & very friendly. The lookout on top of the hotel was great. We stayed for 2 nights and although rooms are underground, they could become quite hot & stuffy. It was a little difficult to sleep & had to keep the fans on. Otherwise, room was great.

As a family of 4, we really enjoyed the overall experience of staying at The Lookout Cave Motel. All the staff encountered were very friendly. The lookout on top of the hotel was great, especially at sunrise and sunset. We stayed for 3 nights, and must admit that our quality of sleep was average - the room does get warm... More

Family room 22 had one double and bunk beds. Bunk beds wobbled and had no bar so a child could fall out onto the tiled floor. Rooms very hot/stuffy although fans provided some relief.Position of beds could be swapped so double bed nearer the kitchen and door. Wifi didn't reach room. Staff great.
