All the staff were great & very friendly. The lookout on top of the hotel was great. We stayed for 2 nights and although rooms are underground, they could become quite hot & stuffy. It was a little difficult to sleep & had to keep the fans on. Otherwise, room was great.

As a family of 4, we really enjoyed the overall experience of staying at The Lookout Cave Motel. All the staff encountered were very friendly. The lookout on top of the hotel was great, especially at sunrise and sunset. We stayed for 3 nights, and must admit that our quality of sleep was average - the room does get warm... More

Family room 22 had one double and bunk beds. Bunk beds wobbled and had no bar so a child could fall out onto the tiled floor. Rooms very hot/stuffy although fans provided some relief.Position of beds could be swapped so double bed nearer the kitchen and door. Wifi didn't reach room. Staff great.

Great rooms, quiet. Great views. Would definitely come back here! Family run which is great for families like us. We managed to get accommodation for 6. The lookout above has commanding views of e town and it's only 2 minutes away. Great spot.

This was our first visit to Coober Pedy although we had previously stayed in underground accommodation at White Cliffs. This hotel was so much better. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and efficient and the position of the hotel made for fantastic photos of a Coober Pedy sunset. We visited The Breakaways (a must... More

An interesting way to spend a night in Coober Pedy is in an underground motel room. This motel is not much to look at from the outside but the interior is quiet pretty with the sandstone walls and ceilings. Underground it is a constant temperature around 23-25degrees C day and night. Our double room was comfortable but compact with a... More

Well all my life I have wanted to stay in an underground room. At least now I have done it. But in doing so in this motel the night seemed to be filled with voices down a corridor all hours of the night, because of echoes and inconsiderate guests, the room was for me personally stifling and thankfully every room had... Our family stayed 3 nights here and really enjoyed our underground experience. The hotel has large spacious rooms that are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge meaning that we. Lulu make ourselves breakfast each morning. The owner is extremely helpful and each day was full of great advice on what activities to do. I recommend staying... More

An amazing experience. I called to let them know I would be arriving quite late .. And the lady was lovely and understanding.. Upon arriving into Cobber Pedy at 9pm, I called to find the right directions to the property, was given direction right up to the door. The staff of this property were so welcoming (at even such a...
