The pub was built in the early 80s and modelled on a shearing shed. Open fire and surprisingly good meals. I had the lamb shanks, two of them with mash and other veggies for $25. The rooms however were another matter, while clean (with the exception of the carpet which could have done with a good clean) was over priced... More

Made a booking approx 3 weeks prior to arriving, the room absolutely stunk of what I have no idea. There was no TV in the room. The shower was luke warm and shower head was so blocked only a sprinkle of water came out. This was on our way to Alice Springs. Due to it being a quick trip we... More

We spent an afternoon and a night here and were very satisfied with the level of service, accommodation and food. The beer was nice and cold and the conversation enjoyable. Be aware that bore water is used here so expect some smell and don't drink it. (Drinkable water is supplied by the hotel). The rooms are basic, typical outback Australia,... More

Travelling from Adelaide to Alice Springs we came across this unusual hotel motel at Glendambo. It was a typical bush setting. The accommodation was good , but it needed a bit of maintenance. The price was fair and not over priced. The cold beer and food was excellent.

Everything we were wanting after a long hot day on the road, there's even a pool! Was a bit worried about the meals but the flathead we ordered was lovely ( there's a picture ), the people are down to earth and this is Australia, hard water? Harden up princess, water is wet full stop. No tv in the room... More

I shouldnt be too hard on this place considering it is in the middle of no where and i was of the opinion of if it had a bed and running water i would be happy!! the double bed was ok, the single bed resembled a trampoline! the water was ok, it was hard water and salty but that was... More

We stopped for the night as it was too far to Pimba or Port Augusta. We arrived around 7pm. The gent in the front desk was very nice. We were given a room towards the back corner of the block. Bore water tends to stink the room - which I understood. The carpet was lifting and old. The beds were... More

I looked at the reviews and wasnt sure what to expect. Travelling from Adelaide to Darwin, Glendambo was marked in as our first stop. I thought well its only an overnight stay so wasn't overly concerned after reading other reviews. We arrive at 7pm and was quite surprised to see Glendambo it was not what I expected. The main building... More

Although the Glendambo Hotel is listed as being in Coober Pedy, it is actually located over 250km north of there towards the Northern Territory border. Yes, there are many bad reviews here, and being in the middle of South Australia where staff are virtually impossible to find, doesn't help. I know the feeling! The hamburgers on the other hand are... More
