Friendly staff more than make up for the lack of amenities and basic accommodation at the Glendambo hotel motel. The food was fresh and very large portions. There are no TVs in the rooms which is refreshing but you can sit at the restaurant or bar and watch the big screen. We came in summer but in winter time there... More

The girl on reception was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I've stayed here once before and was looking forward to a dink and nice meal but unfortunately the chef was sick and the restaurant was closed; drinks were available. There are 2 servo roadhouses either side of the motel so my evening meal was at the Shell roadhouse;... More

The rooms are spacious and clean and beds were comfy for an overnight stay. But what makes this place so special is the staff. The staff here went out of there way to help my inlaws when my father inlaw became critically ill. Its for this reason I will always plan my trips north to stop over in Glendambo

Our tummies were rumbling, so we decided to stop at the Glendambo Hotel for lunch, on our way to Coober Pedy. What a magnificent building in the middle of no- where, with fuel stations on both sides. As we walked in, I marvelled at the size, height and timber structure of the building - classic Australiana. As we approached the... More

We were very glad we didn't read the reviews for this place before we booked in, otherwise we might have missed it. Certainly the rooms were basic and showing wear, but they were also spacious and comfortable, and unlike other reviewers we found them clean, the air conditioner not unreasonably noisy, and the shower supplied with plentiful hot water. Compared... More

Room was ample size, clean and well set out. The beds were ok and the kids slept well, generally very quiet - certainly no noise from the highway. Bathrooms were dated but very functional, separate w/c from bathroom is a great help with young kids. Bore water was a bit annoying to work around but nothing the hotel can do... More

Overnight stop between Alice Springs and Adelaide. Bar area and meals are very good, service is fine, beers cold wine good. Rooms are very basic but adequate for an overnight stay and I doubt it that anyone would be actually holidaying in Gelndambo.

I booked a superior room for the night. Previously I have stayed in another of these rooms and well as a standard room. The room was large but thats about all the good things I can say. There was a water leak in the bathroom (it wasn't coming from the toilet which I initially suspected); the air-conditioner/heater did not work... More

We had to stop at Glendambo for lunch after having to change our travel plans. (had intended driving from Coober Pedy to William Creek but road/track closed due to rain. Had to drive from Coober Pedy to Port Augusta - back from where we'd come a few days earlier). The pub looked fairly atmospheric but only served dinner style &... More
