Room was ample size, clean and well set out. The beds were ok and the kids slept well, generally very quiet - certainly no noise from the highway. Bathrooms were dated but very functional, separate w/c from bathroom is a great help with young kids. Bore water was a bit annoying to work around but nothing the hotel can do... More

Overnight stop between Alice Springs and Adelaide. Bar area and meals are very good, service is fine, beers cold wine good. Rooms are very basic but adequate for an overnight stay and I doubt it that anyone would be actually holidaying in Gelndambo.

I booked a superior room for the night. Previously I have stayed in another of these rooms and well as a standard room. The room was large but thats about all the good things I can say. There was a water leak in the bathroom (it wasn't coming from the toilet which I initially suspected); the air-conditioner/heater did not work... More

We had to stop at Glendambo for lunch after having to change our travel plans. (had intended driving from Coober Pedy to William Creek but road/track closed due to rain. Had to drive from Coober Pedy to Port Augusta - back from where we'd come a few days earlier). The pub looked fairly atmospheric but only served dinner style &... More

We stayed here recently and it was out of desperation for a room. The rooms are in poor condition, and I hate to imagine what has happened on the disgusting carpet in our room. I felt like I needed disinfecting after staying there. The meal was ok, but my wine tasted like it was from a flask that was way... More

We stayed here with our bus group a found the rooms clean and tidy. We had a very nice evening meal and hearty breakfast before hitting the road. Ros went out of her way to make sure our group had everything they needed and was very hospitable...

Remote area which is understandable but the facilities in the caravan park were old and run down and not clean. Sanitary bins over flowing. We were advised in booking in and trying to reserve seating for dinner we were told that the cook was on leave so go eat at the either of the service stations of which we did.... More

The rooms at the Glendambo Hotel Motel can only be described as a complete Dump. Made the huge mistake of staying here for a night. I was out of there early the next morning because I just couldn't stand it any longer. The bathroom isn't fit for human usage. The air conditioner made more noise that a 747 jumbo taking... More

What a hole. It's isolated sure, but that's no excuse for filth, no hot water, blocked toilet in the hotel .... and pride from the maintenance man that caravaners should should use the shower block with the tap handles fitted! Oh dear, we thought we stay a little place to fuel their economy. The owner back in Adelaide should be... More

The pub was built in the early 80s and modelled on a shearing shed. Open fire and surprisingly good meals. I had the lamb shanks, two of them with mash and other veggies for $25. The rooms however were another matter, while clean (with the exception of the carpet which could have done with a good clean) was over priced... More
