Very interesting place with period decor and an olden charm about it. Stayed in the Butlers Manor for three nights, with other friends staying in the Garden Loft. I mat have been a little paranoid but I always felt like I was being watched - which left me quite unsettled staying there. My friends in the other apartment stated they... More

We have stayed in a number of places in Adelaide over the last couple of years and wanted to splash out this time, so booked the Buxton given the positive reviews. We stayed in the George Lowe Esq apartment and was greeted with a lovely bottle of SA red and some suitable classical music on our arrival. Like others have... More

Why would you stay in a hotel when you can stay in this lovely piece of history. Well ok, it doesn't have room service, but you're only a few blocks away from convenience stores so an great stay away for those that like self contained or just head of to one of the many restaurants nearby. Rooms are far larger... More

We had the privilege to stay at the beautiful Buxton Manor steep in history. It was a true honour to be able to experience such a special place. Thank you to the wonderful hosts Rodney and Regina for offering this opportunity to guests to be able to experience. The Garden and Lofts was our accommodation for 3 days, we stayed... More

We stayed in the Paprika Cottage, which used to serve as the Chauffeur's residence 100+ years ago. They have since renovated it and added on to it, but it still retains it's original charm. You really feel what it was like to live there back in the day. Host was extremely nice and there was a place to leave the... More

Very nice surroundings, service, rooms and food. One of the best B&Bs we visited in the UK. Loved the secluded location however was easy to get to and from the villages we wanted to see. Would recommend

If you're staying in Adelaide for more than a couple of nights, Buxton Manor is really worth consideration. This wonderful old building has been divided into self-contained apartments of varying configurations. We stayed in the Garden and Loft Apartment. Downstairs there were 2 bedrooms, a good size living room, well equipped kitchen with a dining table to seat 8, bathroom... More

Stayed for 2 nights in the Musica Viva appt. it was a bit like staying in a museum, with high Victoriana everywhere. The dark furnishings and heavy curtains made it very dark, needing lights to see even during the daytime. The lounge used to be the billiard room, so was huge. We didn't find it very comfortable, but the antique... More

Stunning accomadation in the heart of Adelaide. This manor is a real treat and something very special, taking in the the charms of yesteryear, surrounded by antiques and the most exceptional gardens. Stayed with my two adult sons in the three bedroom quarters out the back, where we were able to sit under the verandah and enjoy every minute of... More

I have stayed at Buxton Manor and loved every minute of it. This beautiful, historic, warm, welcoming property is one of Adelaide, Australia's rare jewels. Authentic well appointed antique furnishings fill each room. Buxton is surrounded by beautiful gardens.
