Stayed just one night in the Garden & Loft Apartment...all period furniture...unfortunately only one bathroom & toilet which was a bit tricky with 6 of us there...but to be expected in such an old building. Rather pricey to stay here...but I'm sure the funds would be needed just for the upkeep. It's lovely to have old properties like this one,... More

I cant deny it was a beautiful building but thats about it. The noise from a guest using the toilet in the unit above was so annoying. All hours thru the night the water works were extremely loud. And the extra charge of $25 per person for breakfast after charging 1500 for three nights to,share an apartment was over the... More

Booked the Butler's Cottage for a couple and additional adult for convienience to visiting an elderly relative two doors down. Didn't expect something so special, in addition to something so well cared for and unique! Old world charm preserved with plenty of personal touch, a comfortable home that was warm, inviting and with plenty to see from signed stage show... More

We have just returned from a 4 night stay with Norh Adelaide Heritage Group at their Buxon Manor, North Adelaide premises. We stayed in the Musica Viva apartment. A delightful, antique filled beautiful old serviced apartment. All facilities were present in a large property. It was comfortable and conveniently located to city and transport. We loved our stay.

A charming property but be very careful while booking to understand the layout of the "apartment" you choose. Could be in for a rude surprise! We were two couples booked in what was billed as an apartment. Turned out two be two rooms with one common bathroom and you had to go through the master bedroom to access the bathroom!... More

This manor house is divided into several apartments. Each are quite different from the others. We stayed in The Butlers. It is in the middle of the Manor house so the lounge was dark with little view. The bedrooms were nicely furnished with antiques. The bathroom was enormous. However, the bathtub was in bad need of replacing. Showering in it... More

Having spent 176 days in hotels across Asia during 2014 it was a pleasant surprise to stay in a place that has so much character and style. Everything was perfect. I was in Adelaide for business but it felt like I was relaxing on holidays. Highly recommended.

Ever wanted to experience how the Australian better off of late 19th century society lived? Then this is the place to go. Ok, the first owner, a politician, neither had fridge nor wifi, but maybe sat on the same sofa as you will, ... .

Although not a hotel Buxton Manor is certainly a boutique residence with very helpful staff readily contactable by telephone. The rooms are furnished with art work and lovely old furniture. It is a little dark inside and there is some aircraft noise but not during the night. Highly recommended for a short stay or romantic interlude

What a lovely and delightful place. Located in the North of Adelaide and close to everything, this old manor has all the facilities you could ask for with old world charm that is becoming harder and harder to find. If you're looking for a special experience in Adelaide, look no further than Buxton Manor. Recommend highly.
