Stayed 1 night for a conference. Must stay i expected more from a 4 star hotel. Was clean but run down. The service was above average. The gym is a joke, but the pool is nice. Should be 3 star more

Check in was ok however we did arrive before check in time after a long flight from Hong Kong and we had to kill 3 hours before we could check in. We stayed in the double room on the 4th floor for 2 nights in November, in town for a family wedding. The website rates the Chifley as a 4 star property however I would definetley rate this in the 3 - 3 and 1/2 category. The hotel and ground are well maintained however the early 1990's revamp is now dated.... more
