Whilst the staff were friendly, the noise was unbearable. We had double glassed windows yet the noise from the nearby clubs kept us awake till at least 4am on Saturday night / Sunday morning" more

there is construction going on in the hotel, no one tells you that. the hotel is on hindley st, which is wicked, but the nightclubs on each side of the hotel dont really help when u have to sleep before an important event. the rooms are not sound proof and you have to endure the doof doof from the night... more

Booked an "Executive Spa' room based on website description which stated that it had all the benefits of a "Club room' which were a higher floor etc. On arrival late in the evening we found the room was a connecting room on the first floor. After being given keys to another already occupied room (obviously poor security procedures) we returned... more

...NOISE NOISE NOISE, at the sleazy end of hindley right in the middle of strip clubs and nightclubs, we stayed on the second floor at the back of the building and had a wedding party and groups of partygoers beside us, who were very loud and quiet intimidating. The hotel bar were nice (we didnt eat in the restaurant) but... more

What a great surprise. I was staying at the other Accor hotel nearby but wanted to sample the food at the Rockford Adelaide & use my Advantage Plus discount (Accor hotels loyalty discount card) as was in Adelaide alone on business. Great menu. Great food with good service (one guy -Korean?-) was outstanding. My discount gave me 25% off food... more

Arrived to be greeted by check in staff talking to each other while I was asked to fill in my forms. Should have realised that there was going to be a problem from the lack in interest in the visitor. Had booked an upmarket Club Room for 3 nights (& 1 night on return from the Barossa). Staff were very... more

My wife and I travel extensively in Australia each year. We had booked the hotel via the phone the previous day . We had given our credit card details and had a confirmation number. . We gave then a UK number but said it was pretty meaningless as we were touring in OZ We arrived at 4 .30 the next... more

Hindley Street is one of Adelaide's seedier spots, with strip clubs, 24 hour bars, etc. along its length. And the Rockford Hotel finds itself located along this street and in the middle of all this action. Were it not for its location, the hotel would score better marks from me. I spent 4 nights there in January 2008, occupying an... more

The Rockford was a nice place to stay. We got a good deal on the internet of $99 per night for their basic room, which was spacious and comfortable, though I'm not sure I'd want to pay full price. Pros: -Nice large room. -New and clean bathroom. -Nice bar & restaurant area. -Curteous and helpful staff. -Nice heated pool. -Central... more
