I recently stayed here on a girls weekend. We had picked this hotel over many others as the website portrayed the hotel as being fun and funky. With promises of luxury amenities, gourmet tea and coffee and stunning decor, we were shocked to find ourselves given a tiny dingy room, with no shampoo (but two conditioners) which appeared to be... It sounds like the previous rater stayed in room 401? We booked last minute as we were having work done on our house and just needed somewhere warm and comfortable in the city. On the web this place looks funky and modern but it is dark, dingy, COLD! The staff were polite and friendly but seemed oblivious that a trickle... More

Pleasant stay, staff helpful and friendly. Clean room. Could not work out how the plug worked in the sink. Seemed to be a nice location. Arrived late, late night room service appeared to be pizza only, ordered from a local shop. Nice and quiet.

We found the hotel quite good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast and meals eaten in their Restaurant were good, however coffee on last morning was poor, they made another cup which was a lot better. Room was neat and tidy, we also found that no soap was supplied. We had three in the room but had to ask... More

After trying to call reception four times prior to checkin we gave up & just arrived. These things happen. Parking is on the street which is okay if arriving after 6pm & leaving by 8am. Initial impression was good but check in was odd, not quite quirky. Room was on first floor, next to the lift and above the very... More

First time stayer. No soap in bathroom, no tea in the amenities kit, asked for a steam iron as the flimsy thing in the room would iron a wet handkerchief. It turned up an hour and half later as I was about to leave the room for an appointment. had to leave my coat on all day. New bathroom with... More

First impressions of the lobby are sharp, modern with a moody feel to the fit out. Entering our room (2nd attempt had us in the upgraded room actually booked) all appeared well presented and averagely clean. If bleach is a preferred room freshener scent, the Clarion SOHO will meet your needs aplenty! Heating is a need not for those who... More

Booked Clarion for a one night stay hoping for a boutique exclusive modern experience. It was a complete let down. From check-in it was very unfriendly, inattentive and unhelpful. He was grumpy that I had booked that morning and his team member hadn't updated the files with the booking reference. The room was tiny - big king bed was certainly... More

I head to Adelaide every month or so for work and took some time trying to identify the right hotel for me.. After much debating I tried out the Clarion Hotel and was pleasantly surprised... They are a small boutique hotel so don't expect 24 hour room service but they have a good bar and restaurant downstairs from which I... More
