Could do with a bit of improving, but pretty good. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Would recommend it, especially for the budget traveller its paradise! snorkelling of the main beach is awesome, so many fish and turtles! and the new worldwide coca cola advertisement was filmed on the island, check it out on TV now! the staff are what... more

wow, went to Koala Adventure Island with the boys, WHAT A PLACE! it was just perfect for what we wanted, we spent all day doing the activitys, did some really good walks, heaps of snorkelling, a few rounds of golf (super cheap, $10 or something like that) the receptions girls were cool, sent us out on one of their boats... more

My husband and I travel to South Molle just about every year. We have been bareboating since 1989 and never fail to pick up a mooring and call into this beautiful place. You're right though, its run down, its old, there's nothing happening in the off season let alone the high season, the pool looks like it was built during... more

Thankyou for your feedback and we have taken this amongst other responses very seriously. The island has now changed names to Adventure Island Whitsundays. It is no longer Koala's. It is now an adults only island that is open to all adults young and old. The rooms and property has been refurbished and alot of issues addressed. The website is...

We called into South Molle for a day trip (we were chartering a yacht) pulled up to what looked like a nice island but when we got to shore it was old and run down looking. There were about 4 guests to be seen, the place smelt like the septic had failed and the ashtrays looked like they hadnt been... more

ISLAND FROM HELL. Our dream holiday turned to a nightmare as soon as we stepped off the boat, I am not a fussy person nor do I have high expectations but south molle island should not be classed as a resort , I have stayed in caravan parks with better facilities, the rooms were run down the resort was run... more

Thankyou for your feedback. We take feedback very seriously and have undergone renovations and rebranding. The island website is currently being changed to reflect this and should be ready for viewing mid january 2010. The island is now an adults only island for all ages and is not targeting a particular market - just 3 star budget affordable no frills...

We booked our holiday in april last year and we were told that South Molle was a nice island. WELL, we arrive and had to take the walk to reception. Get to reception and there is a sign saying to go to the gift shop. We find there a run down gift shop with a small desk and a yellow... more

Hello and thankyou for your feedback, we wanted you to know that we did shut the island down a few weeks after your comments were left. The island has been refurbished but it designed to be a 3 star no frills budget island resort. It is not targeting backpackers or youth but all adults any age. It is an adult...

Where to begin... if I could use profanities I would but I can't so I won't - Our stay at South Molle Island was terrible!!! The island is not a resort as advertised, rather accommodation not dissimilar to a caravan park. The staff had no clue about where any of the rooms were, nor did they advise us of the... more

What's all the fuss about? South Molle is the cheapest island of them all but it was certainly NOT a let down. After living in London for years, this was paradise to us. I think some people just have too high expectations. We booked the Honeymoon package which included a Beachcomber Unit on the beach (towards Paddle Bay end), it... more

My partner & I (27 & 32 year old) stayed on South Molle Island for three nights. My overall impression would have to be just under okay. If I was to give constructive critism to the owner of this resort it would be temporarily close it down and renovate it. If you can't afford to close it down - shut... more

Place was a bit run down but fine for the price. Not horribly commercialised like Hamilton Island. Great walking tracks and the picnic lunches packed were delicious. All in all, a good place to visit and relax at. more
