We visited Hayman Island in July, one week after their re-opening after a $80m makeover. As part of the makeover, the number of rooms have been reduced, but the staffing levels have been increased. Right from arrival at the Hamilton Island Airport counter, to the onboard check-in on the luxury yacht transfer to the island, through to the golf-cart waiting... More

I was seriously excited that Australia finally had a world class resort that was easy to get to and in a fantastic spot. I spent 4 days there with my wife and I will probably never go back. Whilst the resort itself is exceptional the service is horrendous. The reality that we were not the only ones to have a... More

the ripening of Hayman island by One and Only is outstanding. The rooms/suites have been reconfigured and enlarged with settings that blend instantly wight the pool and beach settings. What sets the facility apart from key, beyond the setting and facilities is the quality of the staff in all aspects--a cheery , alert, group on varied nationalities who have succeeded... More

Stayed for 3 nights for our 40th wedding anniversary in a pool access suite. Everything was excellent and of very high standard- the service, room and all amenities. Were really well looked after by well-trained and enthusiastic staff who enjoy their job. Only slight downside at the moment was young children are allowed in the main pool - sure this... More

We rent a beach villa, the one exactly that's on the front page of the August edition of the Qantas airline magazine. It's just as great in reality! We spent 1 week there with our 2 teen boys who were using the retreat room in the back. This worked really well for the 4 of us. The internet is free... More

My wife and I have not often stayed at resorts...however we have stayed at many 5 star "vacation hotels" which I will use as reference in this review. One important difference resides...when you stay in a hotel you can always rely on the nicer restaurant outside of the resort or the great spa down the street...here it is the resort... More

This holiday was a real Faulty Towers experience. The resort is beautiful and the setting is magnificent , but the Reception staff are totally incompetent. By contrast, the Spa staff were excellent, (and my facial and hot stones massage were amazing) and the restaurant staff were very friendly. On the boat from the airport I was asked by a staff... We spend 5 nights here and we loved it. Rooms and service was awesome. Of course you pay a lot for the exceptional location, but it is worth it. The food is very good as well and the breakfast offers everything you need.

The setting is absolutely gorgeous with fantastic views. The pickup with the boat at the airport is amazing. Well organized, friendly staff. The luggage is taking care off from your arrival up to your room. Absolutely flawless,. After the renovation the rooms are impeccable with nice views over the ocean. A few words over the dive center. The staff is... More

This was my 6th visit but first since the major renovation. Even though the resort has done a soft opening at the time I still found it a relaxing paradise. Once all the renovations are done it will be even better. I love the new decks for the pool access suites. Still the best breakfast of any resort I have... More
