Hamilton island will seduce you with specials like pay for 4 but stay 5 nights - which sounds good however the saving of 1 night is more than made up for in the additional costs you must pay being in a captive market where there is no competition. Check in was efficient, room was well laid out, we were in... more

Stayed at the reef view for 4 nights. June still a good time to travel as not too hot during the days. Hotel was as expected. Not overly modern but large spacious rooms. I had a 'garden view room' but still had nad nice views over the ocean. Try and get a room on 4th floor to 'clear' the trees.... more

Stay in the Reef View Hotel for a work conference here in Jun 2009. My room is 1101. The hotel has spectacular views over a reef/beach with balcony. Room is huge with enormous bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Great showers and ammenities including iron, hairdryer, in house movies - pretty much everything you need. Order room service once. Quick and easy. Staff... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in May 2009. The arrival at the airport was fairly well organised with a fleet of buses to take passengers to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel we were given the "your rooms are not ready and they will be at 2pm" routine, everyone else heard the same thing. Funny that all the rooms... more

I loved this hotel for one main reason - the coral sea view rooms are the most amazing rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. They are huge with a beautiful king size bed that looks out to the beautiful Coral sea. Lovely big balcony and huge bathroom. We got a great deal in the end but... more

A bunch of my girlfriends and I recently spent 5 nights in the Whitsundays, 3 nights in Daydream (dissapointing) and 2 nights at the end on Hamilton. When we checked into the Reef View we wished we had spent the 5 nights there. The rooms are huge, modern and all have a balcony overlooking Catseye Beach and the ocean. The... more

Yes, we absolutely loved Reef View Hotel & Hamilton Island. From the time we landed, our luggage and check in was very organised and smooth. Coach transfer to the hotel. We arrived at approx 12.30pm and our room was available 30 minutes later. Bags were in our room already upon arrival. The renovations to the room are well done. We... more

We stayed here for 4 nights and we loved it. Clean room, fantastic view and the breakfest was superb. 2 minutes from the beach and 10 minute walk to the marina. Would def stay here again. Staff was very helpful in planning day trips to great barrier reef and whitehaven beach. more

We just returned from our trip to Hamilton Island, and were very impressed with the Reef View hotel, and would definetely stay there again. We stayed on the 11th floor and the view from our balcony was incredible! Our bags got taken care of both when we arrived and when we left, and we got our room keys as soon... more

I just got back from staying at Hamilton Islands Reef View resort. It was a total waste of my time and money. Hamilton Island is very small you can see it all in 15 minutes on a buggy. Hamilton Island itself is very overpriced.....2 coffees and 2 milkshakes cost us close to $30 Australian dollars. The beach is terrible and... more
