When we decided to come to Fraiser, we were determined to camp on the beach... And having flown up from Vic with no gear, we thought glamping style here would be perf option. Unfortunately, it's not really glamping here; its poor man's camping even. Tents are super basic, one lamp, one blanket so we froze each night. Local shop closes... More

During our 4 night stay in early May, all amenities (toilets, showers, kitchen, bins) were cleaned/emptied daily. Showers were nice and hot. Camp kitchens well serviced with several fridge freezers, bbq, washing up stuff, microwave, kettle, toaster, tables and bench seats. Camp sites sheltered so even when strong winds blew overhead, tents were barely affected. Dingo fence made us feel... More

My partner and I went to fraser island over easter this year and we stayed at cathedrals on fraser in one of the family tents. We had a wonderful time. The tents were clean and had a double bed in the back and a bunk bed in the front room. There was a bit of rain so we were very... More

As a camping novice I wasn't too sure about booking here in the first place however thought if we were visiting Fraser Island we should do it properly along with the wildlife! I wish we hadn't! Camping here really was not for us and the website makes it look so much nicer that it actually is. On our arrival the... More

After reading some many of the poor reviews of accommodation here, we were sceptical in even stopping here. It was however only for a bit of a snack and a drink. Located north of the Maheno wreck, Cathedrals offer fuel (expensive), food, which was OK, camping, picnic spots and toilets.

The permanent tents are old and very ran down, the beds inside them are uncomfortable the springs are practically come through the mattress would be more comfortable sleeping on the floor! The amenties are pretty dirty and again ran down, the woman who I spoke with about my concerns was very rude and abrupt. Would expect more for the price... More

Arrived home this afternoon from Cathedrals on Fraser. The "glamping tent" is there empty if anybody wants it ..... we left a day early, so put out by the experience that we simply came home. Firstly, I must say the staff were lovely. No problems there. However, the place is simply disgusting. The facilities are old and broken down, in... More

This was our first visit to Fraser Island. We camped at a few places but the highlight of our camping was Cathedrals. It is well situated more or less in the middle of the long eastern beach. Access is from the beach and pretty good. The camping sites are beautiful!. They are large and shady with lots of shade. The... More

I booked to stay here. The night before I left my elderly mother fell and badly injured herself. I understand the company has a refund/cancellation policy but I am unsure how I give them 14 days notice that an accident is going to occur in 13 days time. I was more than willing to accept a credit for another time... More

If anybody is thinking of booking and staying in any of Cathedrals permanent tents judged on the website pictures, "DON'T". My wife and I did much to our sorrow, arrived at 2.30pm and were directed to our tent. What a disgusting, stinking mess it was, nothing like as portrayed in the pictures,we took one look at each other and jumped... More
