This was our first visit to Fraser Island. We camped at a few places but the highlight of our camping was Cathedrals. It is well situated more or less in the middle of the long eastern beach. Access is from the beach and pretty good. The camping sites are beautiful!. They are large and shady with lots of shade. The... More

I booked to stay here. The night before I left my elderly mother fell and badly injured herself. I understand the company has a refund/cancellation policy but I am unsure how I give them 14 days notice that an accident is going to occur in 13 days time. I was more than willing to accept a credit for another time... More

If anybody is thinking of booking and staying in any of Cathedrals permanent tents judged on the website pictures, "DON'T". My wife and I did much to our sorrow, arrived at 2.30pm and were directed to our tent. What a disgusting, stinking mess it was, nothing like as portrayed in the pictures,we took one look at each other and jumped... More

Brilliant family holiday in an Australian wonderland. All facilities provided from cabins to tented sited to powered sites and then non powered. After 3 great trips we have booked for the next 2 years. In addition to what you would expect the camp ground has great community cooking facilities including fridges and freezes which you need when taking all food... More

My family and I spent 2 weeks in our camper trailer here on a powered site. Excellent service from all staff plus their shop has everything at fair prices. Excellent location and central to all of Fraser's icons. We're already planning to come back!

What a great family holiday we had on cathedrals on fraser we were recommend by friends that had stayed there before and we will be going back next year for our Christmas holidays again that we have already booked in. The staff and owners of cathedrals were so helpful as we hadn't been to fraser before we were told by... More

my family and I have been coming to cathedrals for over 10 years now and camping in our same spot, for all of you that are wanting to stay here it is by far the best camping ground on fraser island. it is a big eye opener to see how hard the staff and the actual owners work from the... More

What a great location - our first stay on Fraser was an outstanding adventure - starting a little rough when we arrived on time and expecting an immediate check in, we discovered that our site was still occupied - with the inhabitants nowhere to be found Peter and Cathy went to extraordinary lengths to find us another spot in the... We arrived on a spur of the moment thing on New Years day. I asked for a powered site but none were available until the following day. Peter and Cathy went to the trouble of finding us a nice site with a sunny spot in the middle where we could get a good lot of sun to power our fridge... More

We booked a 3 bedroom cabin for 3 nights. The cabin itself was reasonable, older style but had full power, large fridge, all cooking equipment you needed, linen. So we only had to bring food and clothing - this was great as we usually camp and therefore need to bring a ton of 'stuff'. There is a double bed in... More
