We stayed at the resort for four nights early April. First class location and facilities - great accommodation - good restaurant - lovely pools. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location for touring Fraser Island. Would stay again - will return - well worth a visit but could get crowded during peak or holiday season. Would highly recommend.

Glorious weather, an ocean view from a spa room, an informative bird walk, good massages, and seriously good meals from the Seabells restaurant. A really enjoyable Easter. Interesting to see that the Kingfisher Resort now has Segway tours on the western beach. Good seafood buffet at the Maheno restaurant also. Very special location. Did the obligatory walk to the WW2... More

We have just arrived home from 4 days at Kingfisher Bay Resort. What a wonderful time we had. We loved the natural surroundings and Eco- friendly concept. Every staff member was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The tour across the island was a bit rough-but it was 4 wheel drive territory so what would you expect. The only fault... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in a garden view hotel room. Our stay was fantastic, so relaxing and peaceful! We had the buffet breakfast and buffet dinner at the Maheno and both were beautiful! The buffet dinner is a must for seafood lovers. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty to do, we enjoyed bush walking and hiring... More

Hi Tiana855 Great to see a local discovering what's hidden in their own backyard. On behalf of our behind-the-scenes team, we'd like to thank you for your kind comments and for taking the time to review. It's also great to see you took advantage of some of the resort activities - just last week a group on our guided canoe... More

Dear DAVEColchesterUk You're absolutely right, showers of rain were a welcome sight in early March after one of the driest summers in several decases and they served to harden the sand tracks up nicely. It's great to see that you and your family enjoyed your stay and took advantage of the eco activities we have on offer at the resort.... More

This is probably the best resort in the island. Despite some criticism in TA, at least the room where we stayed had been renovated well. We had a small balcony with a nice view to green yard and the pond. A really plus is the location close to the beach and arrival/departure ferry, really nice and informative (free!) guided walks... Dear jsuaja Thanks for taking the time to review and your kind comments regarding your room, Jan and surrounds. In addressing your comments regarding your off-roading adventure, we wanted to let you know that Fraser Island has had the driest summer in several decades, but recent rainfall from last week has smoothed out the tracks somewhat. We noted a second... More

3 1/2 - 4 Star 6 1/2 / 10 (more like 5 if not for convenience) Common areas and grounds are quite attractive , though in need of maintenance. Pools and restaurants are crowded. The restaurant offers standard breakfasts and a good dinner buffet if you like seafood. The picnic lunch they did for us was excellent both in quality... More

I chose this place on recommendation of my sister and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I have had. The resort is in the middle of the wilderness, so as a European, I expected Fraser Island to be full of dangerous and annoying creatures. But in fact, not one mosquito entered my room, and I only... Hi Math B Always great to have see our European neighbours out off-roading on Fraser's sand tracks and we thank you for your wonderful comments regarding your stay with us. Call us biased, but Fraser's a pretty special spot and it's great to read you got to see some of our most famous residents whilst out exploring with our touring... More

Just returned from 3 relaxing days at this resort. Great service, comfortable villa with view, good food, excellent amenities. Only problem was that two of the eateries were closed, one for renovations. So there were no lower priced places to eat. The service and food in the Maheno was very good, with a wide variety of choices. All staff were... More

Dear Lesleyh7 Thanks for taking the time to review us in this forum and for your candid comments. As you may have seen our Sand Bar bistro was closed whilst we made some enhancements to the existing kitchen and equipment - this will reopen in time for Easter. To compensate for this, we introduced an all-day snack menu and ala... More
