We had booked air transfers but the weather was so bad we had to take the bus and Quickcat which was a long journey. We got the plane to Cairns on the way home and would recommend this. The island was beautiful and the food was really good. Above our expectations having read some of the reviews. There were plenty... more

Our honeymoon stay at Dunk was for 6 nights in a beachfront suite. We arrived by the small plane which is highly recommended as you experience fanstastic views of Dunk as well as many other islands on your way down from Cairns. We travelled during school holidays, so everything was open and running, yet still didn't seem overcrowded. I would... more

Dunk Island is a beautiful island, and has many things to do even if the weather is not perfect, for our 5 night stay it was windy and overcast all of the days. Dunk offers a new gym, tennis courts, squash courts, kayaking, sailing and the list goes on, all free of charge which was one of the great aspects... more

My husband and I have recently returned from a fantastic break on Dunk Island. We arrived by small plane, which I would recommend. The transfer from Cairns airport was very efficient and we had great views of the islands as we came into land. We stayed in a light and airy beachfront room, waking up to the sound of lapping... more

Dunk Island it self is beautiful, white sandy beaches, palm trees and tropical gardens. There are some great walks through the rainforest and down to the beach, the views to the mainland and a small island are great from a position of sitting on the beach a and reading a book. However if you are hoping for a romantic time... more

Well we landed back in wintery Adelaide yesterday after a sunny, warm week on Dunk Island. At this time of year the island is warm and generally free of clouds although we had one wet morning, it didn't interfere with our plans! I'd recommend Dunk for families or couples prepared to have time with kids running about at any rate!... more

We recently returned from Dunk Island Resort after a 6-night stay as a couple with our 6-year-old daughter. Dunk Island was not our first choice, but after looking around, the options for families in this neck of the reef are fairly slim (especially if you are unable to fly in an un-pressurized cabin, as I am, due to pregnancy). Dunk... more

We stayed four nights on Dunk and have to say we were unlucky with the weather. When we arrived (by plane) we were taken on a short tour of the facilities, then given our room, opposite reception. It was a rather small and dark middle-terrace , with a tiny, exposed sitting-out area, practically on the road. We immediately asked to... more

Well let me start by saying this is no where near a three star resort and the service is the worst I have ever experienced. I will try to sum it up in a short paragraph. When I was getting poor service or lack of service or a bad attitude.... I would ask the following question: Do you like your... more

We stayed at Dunk Island Voyages resort as part of our honeymoon tour round Oz. I would highly recommend it as a relaxing get away, with hoards of activities to choose to do, lovely pools and some really nice walks around the island. We flew to Dunk on the Hinterland service, a very pleasant experience in itself. On arrival, we... more
