Me and my partner, were permanent there for 9 months. While we were there we helped out around the park. We painted the female and male toliets and painted the patios of the cabins. I also got a job cleaning there, until I got pushed aside for another lady ( no warning). We really enjoyed seeing Robin and Garry. Charlie... More

Louisa, you stayed in our accommodation on two occasions, firstly for 5 weeks and then for 9 months. You did not "help out" around the park. You were employed as a casual cleaner and your partner Marty was employed as a contract painter over Xmas when he had no other employment. You were not pushed aside for another person. All... More

Lovely well maintained park with great facilities, unfortunately it is near the RAAF Base and airport so it can be noisy. Helicopters take off and land even at 2am!!! This Queensland trip is to see if we want to spend next winter up this way, definately will, weather is perfect and the town has lots to see and do, streets... More

Thank you Wen and Kev for complimenting us on our well maintained park and the great facilities provided for our guests. The Australian Defence Force was operating a training exercise during your stay hence the extra air traffic at odd times. After a couple of nights of excessive air traffic noise, the Defence Force was contacted by management and it... More

We had a powered site for a caravan. The grounds ar neat and well maintained. The whole area is very noisy, usually starts about 5.45am. There is a lot of aicraft noise up until 9.00 pm. Seems to be the only dog friendly park in Townsville. Overall a nice clean park but very noisy as it is situated on a... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our park and acknowledge the effort we put in to keep the park clean and well maintained. Due to the upgrade of Blakeys Crossing in Ingham Road there has been a larger than normal volume of traffic including trucks passing the park recently. Fortunately, the upgrade will be completed... Good things first. I stayed in a cabin and it was very comfy, clean and well maintained. The aircon is a little under powered to cool the whole cabin but everything else is pretty good. Nice little outdoor deck with a table and chairs tops it off nicely. Watch out for mozzies and sand flies! Pack some repellent. Bad points.... More

We stayed for one night with our dog as it was advertised as pet friendly and the photographs on the website show a fully fenced patio at the front of the cabin. I asked for a dog friendly cabin when I rang to make the booking. On arrival we discovered that it was not as advertised. The enclosure was approx... More

Unfortunately we arrived at this park on the back of a tow truck and our caravan towed behind. When we pulled in, we were greeted by the owners, Rob & Jayne who bent over back wards to help us. As it was off season and not too many people in the park, they let the tow truck driver choose the... More

I must admit the first night I was worried about the helicopters flying backwards and forwards, obviously doing some night training, and when I thought about I realised that it was great to know that we do have this sort of training. The next few nights I missed the helicopters! Yes truly!! There were lots of showers and toilets, and... More

I stayed in a van for a few weeks in the off-peak, the park is what you expect it has nice amenities and sites, and its really green. Staff are nice and its located A few minutes away from shops in the quiet industrial area, the road was mute of a night and the planes where nothing to complain about.... More

Although this caravan park is situated in the industrial area of Townsville, keep in mind that it is also not far from the CBD and the lovely Strand. The traffic noise stops at night (unlike highway noise) and we barely heard any aircraft. The staff were cheerful and helpful. The park is immaculately clean: amenities, pool, garden and the camp... Concrete slab provided was adequate, however 1 night was enough as for us as airport and RAF base noise. Information centre was merely a booking agent and provided friendly service but lacked info for tourists. Amenities were very clean and garden settings were pretty enough. Not great value for money considering extra cost for extra person. Glad we are moving... More
