I stayed here for 2 nights as one day I was going to Magnetic Island. It's around a 15 minute walk to the bus/ ferry station. They staff will pick you up, but only at set times so you may have to wait. Most of the staff seemed pretty uninterested and the reception was closed frequently for 'doing shuttle runs'.... More

Place wasn't great. Had to get a taxi from the greyhound as there was no bus. Then when we got there the was no one there as they were doing a run somewhere.. The staff didn't seem to want to be there. Same as us really. The air con in the common area didn't work. So it was unbearable to... More

This is one of the few good hostels I have seen so far in Australia. Nice an clean. Nice kitchen and for me very important the WiFi was working at a good speed :) And the WiFi is for free! I don't know what it is about this hostel but it is crowded with germans. They also have a shuttle... More

I stayed at this hostelone Night before going to Maggie Island. So happy that stayed only one Night. The staff of this hostel is not so friendly. Other people who are living in this hostel Arent so ready to meet new people. This is more for people who are working and need cheap place to stayed. Otherwise i Dont recommended.

I stayed here for 1 night and glad it was only one night! We had a private double room, which was literally 2 mattresses on the floor with a sheet on top!!! The sheet didnt even look clean. And the corridors were extremely noisy both at late hours and very early hours.

I've been travelling in Australia for 2 months and this was the absolute worst hostel I've stayed in. You could feel every spring in the bed and the bathrooms were tiny and out of order. You have to buy a cool bag to put anything in the fridge. The WiFi was free and not incredibly slow. That was a bonus.

We stayed in our camper on their car park and used the hostels facilities. First off.. everything seemed ok, pretty clean and seemed nice and laid back. First issue: literally no room in the fridge to put your food, they have 5 or 6 fridges and they are all completely full. After much prodding and pushing we eventually squeezed our... More

It backs on to a supermarket complex, and is only two blocks away from the beachside. The rooms were tidy and the beds were comfortable, didn't use the kitchen facilities much and the bathrooms were average as well (still good though).

When i read the reviews of other people i thought "this must be too good to be true", but this hostel really is awesome. Free wifi that works well. Great clean kitchen with lots of utensils. Clean bathrooms. There is even a tiny gym. One minute walk to the supermarket. And very close to te beach. The staff is really... More

So clean, so much space. SUCH comfortable beds, not too busy and lots of space even if it was. Shuttle bus run from the ferry & bus terminals for ease of access and in good area of town. Provides city maps and explain some good places to visit. Great nights sleep and two thumbs up here!
