We stayed here on the 17th May. On arrival we thought this place looked really cool. Staff were really friendly and happy to show us our room and inform us of the rules. We understood that this was a party hostel and we knew we would be dealing with a bunch of noise. We have stayed in many party hostels... More

Hi We are sorry to hear that you had a noisy night at the hostel. A guest had a 21 st birthday with us and the whole hostel made it a night to remember for him. Unfortunately they made a bit of noise when they came back. They have all been told off for this and understand not to do it... More

Hostel is okay, furnitures and beds a bit old and torn down, so are the rooms, but it is not bad. You can totally stay there some nights. Wish that the hostel was operated 24/7. Wi-fi was super unstable. Friendly and party-ready staff. Good enough.

We were only staying one night here so it was fine for what we needed but probably wouldn't want to stay any longer. The rooms are comfy enough although the ensuite bathroom is pretty grim. The whole place just seems like it needs an upgrade as all furniture is old and dirty/ripped. It could be nice as the staff are... More

My partner and I stayed at this hostel and its the best one we've stayed in so far in Australia! The location is perfect, 20 second walk to the beach and 10 mins into Surfers itself. We had a small flat practically to ourselves with a tv, dvd player downstairs in the living area aswell as in our very spacious bedroom... By far the best hostel I've ever stayed at! Staff are amazing, helpful, sweet and always up for fun and location is perfect! 1 min walk to the beach, pool, wifi, tons of movies, clean kitchen and clean rooms! Party hostel with great deals and pre-drinking games every night by the hostel bar! Were gonna stay 2 nights, ended up... More

It definitely meets party hostel standards (Old, Dirty, Loud) which I expected, but its perfect if you want to party, and its also in the perfect location. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the hostel, around 10-15 minute walk to the main Surfers Paradise shopping and eating strips, and there's a tram station directly out front if you... More

The hostel is pretty crappy and the facilities are all quiet old and kind of dirty. The worst thing is that you will not find any sleep at all because there are allway some guests sitting infront of your door taking and plaing loud music in the middle of the night! The staff isnt doing anything. I know its a... More

Me and my boyfriend booked a private room while here. It was vile! Very dirty, dust, cobwebs, dead bugs, grime, mould, cockroaches! Couldnt walk on the floor without shoes on it felt gross. Dissapointing as it was like a little house with a lounge and kitchen down stairs and bathroom and 2 bedrooms upstairs, so it could be such a... More

Make no mistake, this is a party hostel. There is a frat house environment, everyone was very nice and respectful, but night time is party time. I had a great time, it was literally a minute walk to a beautiful spot on the beach, only a few blocks from the area with all the ships and restaurants. The TRAM stop... More

I stayed in Surf'N Sun for two nights with my boyfriend, we are two 27-year-old backpackers travelling up the East Coast with a Peter Pan package, and we both have stayed in numerous hostels in Europe, Australia and the USA. This is so you know about the context of our stay. Also keep in mind that I did voice my... More
