We are in complete agreement with the last reviewer. The accommodation was quite fair but the restaurant was very expensive and a waste of money. We were very pleased with the room rate, however. I'd almost consider it a bargain compared to other venues in the area. more

We found the room itself to be very comfortable. The reception staff were absolutely lovely. Our only complaint would have been the hotel's restaurant, which was overpriced with bad wait staff. Our waitress was not very friendly and my partner's meal costed almost $30 and consisted of 2 strips of chicken. That's it. So not impressed with the restaurant. more

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years for work. Thought I would try them again and not much has changed. There has been some refurbishment of the rooms which is a good change. Room was clean and ok. bed was comfy. There was only 1 hand towel and 1 very small bath towel (No hand towels or... more

The reception staff were wonderful and it didn't take long to get to our rooms which were lovely and clean ( and COOL) with modern furniture and fittings. Our balcony looked out over the pool and Fitzroy River which was nice. This is a modern hotel situated in a small street just off the main road. The rooms are large , bright and airy with a modern feel and good quality fittings. The room was emacluate- There are 8 floors and the lift can get busy. Parking can be poor as there is insufficient for all guests, but they do have... more

cattle county - what can you expect (we thought) and were pleasently surprised, how nice this hotel was. for just one night, the travellodge is a very good buy. we booked this through the internet and since a fellow writer suggested to request a room on the upper floor away from the elevator (nice packaged with mentioning our honeymoon ;-),... more

We booked this place a for an overnight stay. Arrived late afternoon, and was surprised that the restaurant wasn't open (Sunday Night). The room was very clean, and the had a briiliant view of the river. Staff were very friendly. Overall the stay was above average compared the other 'small room' hotels I have stayed at. more

We stopped here for one night whilst driving north through Rocky. Definitely a pleasant and surprising find considering Rockhampton is more a working class city than a glamour tourist strip destination. They advertise this as "recently refurbished", and it certainly has been. Whilst looking a little 1970's on the outside, the standard room offered was thoroughly contemporary, key themes being... more

Had a great stay here in a modern spacious and very clean room. Our request for an elevated room away from the lift was cheerfully granted and we enjoyed great views over the Fitzroy river and imposing Berseker Mountains. Service was warm, friendly and helpful in all departments of the hotel. The cost of accommodation $110 (ReadyRooms site) and the... more

Travelodge... EXCELLENT!! Travelodge had nice spaciouish rooms with a balcony. One side of the hotel overlooks the Fitzroy River and Rockhamptons bridges and the other overlooks the Rockhampton CBD so if your in either side, it wont disappoint. The balcony has a small outdoor round table with two chairs and an ashtray so smokers can smoke outside. Our room was... more
