For $150 for a two bedroom cabin for the four of us, we weren't expecting the Hilton. What we got was perfectly acceptable during our road trip. Stayed here on 7th October for one night. The cabin was clean, well equipped and adequate for our needs. We even got free internet, though it is not advertised as being free! more

Have stayed at the motel section a few times. Simple basic rooms, but tidy and reasonably priced. Close to shopping and cinema. Recently stayed in a cabin as the motel part was booked out. The cabin was clean and tidy, however the bed was on wheels and being on the lino it moved A LOT. Just sitting on the bed... more

We stayed here a few years ago and have to say it was just absolutely disgusting the showers were dirty the rooms were dirty, the sheets I wont even mention them. It may have changed now but what ever you do don't go cheap with this on as the lowest price cabin wasn't worth a nights stay in. more

Never again!

We had been holidaying in the outback from Brisbane, and booked a stay at the Tropical Wanderer on our way home. We stayed in a self-contained two bedroom unit for two nights (two adults and two children). The accommodation was relatively expensive for what is little more than a caravan park. On arrival, we were greeted by a very rude... more

The Best Western Tropical Wanderer Resort is a cool garden oasis on the main highway through North Rockhampton. The various types of motel units. cabins, caravan and tent sites are all beautifully located in leafy quiet positions. The motel unit had a Queen and a Single bed and was spacious and clean. We were disappointed with the restaurant for dinner... more

Having never stayed in a trailor park before i expected the worst. I was wrong. The tropical 2 bedroom villa was great. Clean room space to move and great staff at the check in.The grounds were beautiful also.I would certainly stay here again if i was ever to return to Rockhampton. more

We had booked a room online at another motel but when we drove up it was a dump so we turned around and came to this place which we had seen online and had good reviews. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful, she showed us the rooms before committing to anything which was nice and... more

I stayed there for a week. Clean room in general, the staff is very nice and helpful. If you are on a budget, this is the place to stay, as the cottages are big and mine could comfortably accomodate a family of 5. For a business traveler such as myself, it was a bit inadequate. There is not desk per... more

We stayed at the Tropical Wanderer for a one night stop over. This resort has a campground, cabins and a few hotel rooms. We stayed in a room so that is all I can base my opinion on. The grounds here are beautiful, very tropical, hence the name. I took many pics of all the flora here. The restaurant had... more
