After being let down by other Hotels in Rockhampton i had the pleasure to stay at the Denison. From the start the experience was sensational. Service was amazing. I needed a microwave for my dietary needs and they did not have one. A few hours later a knock on the door and the manager/owner was there with a new microwave.... More

Our only regret is that our commitments allowed us just one night to stay at the Denison. It was a delightful experience, from the friendly and helpful welcome, to our comfortable room (towards the rear, on the ground floor) and completed with a generous and fine breakfast. The good, free Wi-Fi was welcome. The garden is well tended and is... More

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. It as been tastefully restored from its origins as a QGR admin building to a top line hotel. Beds were elegant and comfy and the rooms ornately yet tastefully furnished. It's location right near the rail yards and light industrial area of town suggests it might be in a noisy... More

Very nice, comfortable Victorian style accommodation. Good free internet and nice comfy beds. The buffet breakfast was adequate and nice. The owner is friendly and very helpful. Not sure what happened with our spa, whilst filling it the hot water ran out before the level had even reached the jets, in all fairness no one was around at that particular... More

We booked the Denison Boutique Hotel as a 2 night stopover in Rocky, it was very charming. Railroad ran along side the building but was not an issue for us. Very central to town. Staff friendly and room was spotless, a bit musty and we could not watch the TV which was badly positioned in the room. Apart from that... More

We stayed overnight in this hotel on our way through to Townsville. It was a nice room, exactly as per the pictures shown on their website etc... there was a bit of a musty smell to the room having not been aired but otherwise very clean and comfy. We were given a room on the 2nd level right at the... More

I stayed at the hotel for three nights while visiting the are on business. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the room I had came with a huge four poster canopy bed which was rather swish. The host was very helpful with information on the region to assist my stay. Perhaps the best part of the stay was the... More

I am still in two minds about this place ... The up side was the quality, ambience and old world charm of the property. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The downside was the location. Car traffic could be heard in the room into the evening and first thing the next morning but the worst thing was trains being... More

This hotel is fantastic. Old world luxury combined with mod cons such as big flat screen tele, docking station and awesome spa bath. Breakfast was excellent also and service provided from all staff members was outstanding. I'll definitely be back again and again. The hotel rooms remind me of some beautiful older classy hotels I have stayed at in Europe,... More

This Hotel was a good find in terms of room comfort and value. On arrival the Receptionist was very welcoming and extremely helpful in recommending a number of options for dinner. This property does not offer an evening meal, however directly opposite there is a Hotel providing high quality meals and very friendly service. The room I was allocated was... More
