What a beautifully done project. This beautiful building has been restored as a unique hotel with absolutely stunning rooms, furniture and accommodations to please the most critical guest. We had an upstairs room facing the street but it was quiet and thoroughly enjoyed. Our canopied king bed was very comfortable as was the large garden jet tub. Their breakfast was,... More

Booked a room three days in advance and was informed of their 48 hour, no refund cancellation policy. With cyclone Marcia bearing down they phoned late afternoon to make sure we were still coming. We weren't, as we wanted a quick escape. Lovely lady enquired after our welfare and informed me that there would be no charge as this was... More

Only stayed one night in Rockhampton and after reading reviews opted for this place. The decor has to be seen to be believed! Clean, very comfortable and a good night's sleep. Nothing to complain about here. The area isn't especially picturesque but easy enough to pop over the road to the Great Western Hotel for dinner which is an experience... More

Having travelled to Rockhampton to have our car serviced, we wanted something close so we chose the Denison Boutique Hotel. Stepping into the room was like stepping back in another era only with a few mod cons. Very spacious room, lovely 4 poster bed, corner spa bath, with breakfast included. Although close to rail, we weren't really disturbed. Will choose... More

Have stayed in Rocky several times, but this overnight stay here was my first at the Denison. Beautifully renovated, it makes you feel like you are travelling in bygone times. The rooms are well furnished (although faux) but very comfortable. Opposite the famous Great Western Hotel owned by country singer Lee Kernaghan; if noise bothers you maybe ask for a... More

A grand old lady with sumptuous furnishings. A luxurious king size canopy bed, extremely high ceilings topped off by a 2 person spa in the room. Impeccably appointed to at least a 4.5 star rating. The location is within the railway end of town and as such can be noisy. HOWEVER do not let that deter you, ask for room... More

Accomodation had previously always been difficult in Rockhampton. It was invariably bland, uncomfortable, noisy and excessively priced. The discovery of the Denison on my most recent trip was an unexpected pleasure. It was very well priced for the comfort and amenities offered. There was an uncharacteristic generousity of free parking, free wifi and breakfast included. This might put the other... More

This is the best hotel we have stayed at in Australia. The bed was so comfortable and the 4 poster was a nice touch. The bath was appreciated and so was the aircon which worked well. Breakfast was simple but well cooked and the staff were more that happy to make fresh coffee for us every morning. We will be... More

We were booked in late one night and could not believe our luck. It was cheaper than the average motels in Rocky, and included full breakfast for two people. The room was elegant and true to form, very comfortable and romantic for us a couple. There was good off street parking and no problems with noise (we had a back... More

Class and style personified. Step back in time with huge ceilings, amazing furniture and a mix of old and new. 2 person spa bath and huge 4 poster bed mix with period furniture. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. An ideal place to stay if you are just passing through or if you want a romantic getaway.
