Unfortunately I didnt research enough and paid for the special. Room was on second storey right on the road. Traffic was loud and fridge was extremely noisy disrupting sleep. No microwave and felt I had totally wasted money. Decor was depressing.

Unfortunately I did not research as to how close the rooms are too the highway but I did sleep for short periods. The rooms are dated but still pleasant and clean. But the location had easy access to riverfront that was very pleasant for walking.

As the heading implies the place needs updating however the room was comfortable and clean. Although close to the Bruce Highway can be noisy however traffic noise reduces overnight. Close to some good hotels for food and drink, Criterion and also the Heritage both down on the riverfront

Old tied motel, we were ungraded from the budget double room to double room at the back, which was meant to be quieter. Well we don't think that made any great difference as their was road noise all night. The only great part of the stay was the breakfast in the morning at $22 for the 2 of us good... More

Although our room on the highway side was noisy the rooms were well priced and equipped. The owner was lovely and provided great service. The free internet and undercover parking was greatly appreciated.

We arrived Christmas Eve and were made to feel at home straight away - very friendly welcome which set the tone for our 3 day stay. The room was clean, shower water pressure excellent, hot water was hot, bed very comfortable and air conditioning worked like a treat. That was our check list fully ticked!! The pool/hot tub are set... More

We Stayed here after travelling all day from Brisbane. I was surprised to see they had a room for us as we didn't pre book. TV was working and the staff were friendly. Nice to see after a long day driving.

Location is great, close to walking path on the river. Covered parking area was good. However, the rooms are rather dated. It's okay for one night but I wouldn't want to be there any longer. There's supposed to be Wifi but we couldn't get it to work in our room. Our friends didn't have any problems, though. On the positive... More

Travelling from Townsville to Sydney we stayed here just for one night stop over. Check-in was simple, hostess was welcoming and helpful. Property was dark in the corridors and a little on the tired side however had just the facilities that we needed for one night. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Only problem that we really had was... More

TV remote was not working, no toaster because of the fire alarm. Terrible bed. All in all I would not have my dog staying there. The only good thing was the reception. Nice and warm welcome. I agree totally with the comment from the swagman, Wongelepone
