My friend got married at Goldston House over the weekend, and while the bride had a wonderful day, the entire place disgusted me and the rest of the bridal party. The manager who looked after us did not wear shoes the enitre time, including during the wedding ceremony and whilst cooking and serving us breakfast, and was obviously not wearing... More

We stayed at the Goldston Cottage next to Goldston House and could not have wished for more. This is a quiet two bedroom cottage that is fully furnished and includes a kitchen and laundry. It is clean, cosy, economical and just what we were looking for. Unlike the B & B next door there is no breakfast or room service... More

Goldston is a beautiful heritage home within walking distance of downtown Rockhampton. My husband and I were given a large room that was clean and very comfortable. Our host Deborah was wonderful, very knowledgeable and friendly, made us feel right at home. She served us a delicious hot made to order breakfast along with fresh fruit. The house has a... More

Goldston House is a lovely old Queenslander with well appointed rooms including in our room a sitting room and large bathroom with an enormous claw footed bath. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the gardens were lovely. But their number one asset is the manager and chef, Deborah. She is warm and welcoming, very professional and... The house is beautifully decorated in a Victoriana style that is clean, tasteful and homely. There is a varied choice of pillows, delightful touches such as home made biscuits in your room. Everything is lovely and fresh. The lounge is like stepping back into 1855, so authentic, books, magazines and dvd's galore for the modern touches. We wish we could... More

We totally agree with the reviews posted. Stayed there just for 1 night to break up a long trip. Deborah was VERY friendly, rooms all lovely decorated and clean, very quiet place. FREE WLAN was great!! Had an incredibly delicious breakfast - all home made and freshly cooked. Very good value for money.

We stayed at Goldston House while visiting relatives in the area. The location is central and the accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. The communal rooms are full of old colonial style furniture which all adds to the atmosphere of this colonial style property. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. Deborah was also very helpful to our... More

We stayed here for one night (just to break up a long drive). I picked this place as a reason to stop after reading about it on trip advisor; I was not disappointed! It is a beautiful Queenslander house, with 3 very different rooms. I stayed in the Fitzroy room, which was stunning, a super comfy bed with a lovely... More

I found this fantastic B&B in Rockhampton just by googling Rockhampton, and what a find it was. Rockhampton seems to be full of motels, but this was something different. Thought we would have no chance staying there as we had two young children, but most surprised to see that children were welcome. Deborah gave a us a warm welcome on... More
