Really no need to repeat all the positive comments already made about this place, and about the hosts in particular, but a few little things worth mentioning are: - Leona's offer to do some laundry for us - this really is beyond the call of duty! - free rides into town in the evening (Bob was so apologetic that his... Where do we begin....Frangipani is an absolutely perfect place for a relaxing and luxurious holiday. We cannot say enough about the hospitality provided by the lovely Leona and Bob. From the fresh fruit continental breakfast supplied each morning to organising both our Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef tours for us, they really did take all the hard work away,... More

Frangipani is the perfect getaway accommodation for those wanting to rest up and recharge. The rooms are spacious, have their own private balcony complete with a beautiful bowl of fruit to greet you on arrival, modern spacious ensuite (which was immaculately clean... Something we have found difficult to get on a lot of our travels). This wonderfully secluded B &... More

Can't believe how much time has flown since we went but my partner and I still rave on about how wonderful this B&B is. Bob & Leona were wonderful hosts, they helped us a lot with tips on what to do, suggested awesome places to eat and they too put up a wonderful breakfast each morning. Only a few minutes... More

We spent three nights at this lovely bed and breakfast . Very comfortable , neat and quite. Location is perfect , just a minute away from the beach. Breakfast is rich continental with lots of great , fresh tropical fruits. The only negative is that wifi , although not committed , is not really working despite the various " tricks"... More

We spent the first leg of our trip at this picturesque B&B, celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The setting is wonderful, just a few minutes walk across a park to Four Mile Beach which you can walk along for about half an hour to get to Port Douglas town. Our room was great, lovely balcony overlooking the pool area, spacious... More

Frangipani isn't rated #1 for nothing. It's a beautiful and quiet retreat just a stone's throw from the beach. The courtyard pool is refreshing, the bedrooms are well appointed, and the hosts are gracious. We even got an orientation of the town by the owner! That has never happened. Breakfast is an amazing array of fresh tropical fruits, yogurt, cereal,... More

24 hours of planes. Time upside down. First days of 30 in Australia and New Zealand. It took two days for us to unwind and 45 days more to sort out the memories of the trip. The outstanding memory for both of us is Fragipani and Port Douglas. Leona and Bob were wonderful hosts. From breakfast to tour advise and... More

Can't say enough about this place but what really made it special were the innkeepers, Bob and Leona. When we arrived, Bob took us on a tour of the town. Then for dinner on two separate nights they drove us to town so we didn't need to worry about a designated driver. Every afternoon we would sit and drink wine... More

We were fortunate to stay in Bob & Leona's villa in early October for 5 nights. Their hospitality mirrors that extended to the Bed & Breakfast guests. Always there to give advice on trips and restaurants, provide food starter packs for those of us on self catering. Bob's tour of the best places to see in Port Douglas was especially... More
