We arrived at the Queenslander on May 5 for a 4 day holiday. Julie & Gavin the managers at the property were very friendly & helped us with organising our tours & with any enquiry we had. The room we stayed in was excellent - the furniture was tastefully selected & it had a comfortable atmosphere to allow us to... More

We arrived on April 1 which was a Sunday. Julie and Gavin had everything organised and we breezed into our nice apartment on floor 1 ready for a 10 day stay. The apartment was well appointed and clean. Julie and Gavin had also organised coach transfers from Cairns airport with Exemplar. The coach was clean and the driver was very... More

Thanks for the wonderful stay that I had at the Queenslander. I stayed in a studio apartment which was very large, clean and had everything that I needed (including the kitchen sink). I was in Port Douglas for a funeral, but took the opportunity to have a look at this beautiful part of the world. The Queenslander is located a... More

Stayed for two nights in early September. Port Douglas is a great little town with easy access to diving and snorkeling on the Reef, as well as some interesting tours of the nearby rainforest and canals. The Queenslander was quite comfortable and in a great location. I had a full kitchen, living room, a clothes washer and dryer, and a... More

We were delighted to have you stay with us during your Australian tour. You were certainly very busy during your stay with us. The Great Barrier Reef and Rainforest do offer our overseas guests a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Tropical North Queensland and take home special memories of their overseas adventures. Kind regards Gavin and Julie More

This is a wonderful place to stay and only a few minutes walk from Port Douglas town centre. The accommodation, gardens, grounds and pool area are mainained and managed superbly by Julie and Gavin. They are a delightful couple, very welcoming and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Gavin spent a lot of time advising us on various... More

Thank you very much for posting such a wonderful review. We are pleased that you enjoyed staying with us for your holiday in Port Douglas. The gardens were newly planted one year ago and the tropical climate has seen them flourish. Gavin is very well travelled and enjoys taking time with our guests pointing out places of interest both in... More

one bed apartment in a small block close to the centre, this apartment block is well maintained and provides and excellent base for visits around the area. The on site management couldn't have been more helpful. The cost of the apartment represented excellent value for money. More

BEWARE before booking this hotel. They charge a $200 non-refundable cancellation fee! This is hard to believe because most hotels don't charge a fee unless the cancellation is close to the arrival date. We cancelled 7 MONTHS prior to reservation and they still chagred us $200. Be absolutely sure this is where you want to stay and remember, no exceptions,... More

This person did not make a reservation through us. Her booking was made through a booking agent. The booking agent contacted us and stated " she has not read any information that was provided when booking through them and had made several mistakes - none of which she has taken responsibility for". A very nice place to stay at a reasonable cost especially with the deals on offer. The apartment was very clean with a nice balcony overlooking the swimming pool. It was very nice to do some washing and drying, and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was salt water and it was kept very clean. Julie and Gavin were... More

It would be wrong of me to be overly critical because the Queenslander has a lot to recommend it. It is spotlessly clean, reasonably well appointed, quite well located for the town and has parking. The barbecue area is really useful and well organised with a 'bookings' board with time slots on which you write your bookings. Julie was smiley... More

Thank you very much for your review. We do pride ourselves on providing a very clean and comfortable complex for our guests. The bbq area is very well used and everyone enjoys the balmy evenings while they dine around our pool. When we find items left around the pool area they are put on a chair outside our office. If...
