We recently stayed in a dual key apartment with another couple. Our room had the kitchen and sitting room. It was very spacious and comfortable and well fitted out. The bedroom was very good with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was spacious and lovely.

We have mixed feelings about Shantara. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a pool deck. Parking is free and this is fantastic, however the car park smells like a bin room. We realised that this was coming from the drains located throughout the car park.

nice clean, spacious rooms. amazing bath. was bit cloudy so we didnt swim in the pool at all. 2 min walk to shops and restaurants. one minute walk to beach. beack walks are incredible. nautilus is a must! good place for adults - as no kids under 16 allowed. rooms face each other - so privacy is limited but ok.

What a fabulous place! Very friendly and helpful staff, superb room with great facilities, and a marvellous pair of pools to relax in. We were entranced by the place. Port Douglas is quite small, so most places are probably near to the centre - and this one wa no exception.
