A tasteful venue with gorgeous artwork around a pool and courtyard full of tropical flowers and shrubs. The breakfast of tropical fruits was magnificent. The nearby bush and beach were an additional bonus. Thank you Frieda and Colin for going out of your way to help us (as we were in a sickly state!).

Frieda and Colin were great hosts--making us feel very welcome, sharing interesting stories, providing wonderful breakfasts, loaning us books about our special interests. By the time we left we felt like old friends. The setting is lovely--tropical plants and birds around a tile pool, and just a couple minute walk to a world-class beach. Great people and place!

My husband and I had a peaceful time at this precious B & B. Beautiful landscaping, gorgeous pool outside your doorstep, and an array of local fruits for breakfast while watching doves by the pool. Spacious room and shower room. Very accommodating and walk across the street to the beautiful 4 mile beach!

All I can say is If ever I know of someone who is going to Port Douglas I will go out of my way to give a recommendation for this B and B. The combined experience of Frieda and Colin outweigh anything one could ever find on line or expect of the most knowledgeable concierge ( Take their advice! ).... More

This is a lovely, private B&B, with gracious hosts Frieda and Colin. They went out of their way to make us comfortable when both my husband and I got sunburned while snorkeling (make sure to reapply your sunscreen on these all day snorkeling excursions), by cutting fresh aloe from their garden as a lotion for us. Frieda also loaned me... More

My partner and I recently returned from a month-long visit to Australia's eastern states and territories and had the great chance to book three nights in September at the Port Douglas B&B. Frieda and Colin were fun, gracious, and extremely helpful in helping us find our way around the sites and offerings of the area. The breakfast was a terrific... More

I booked my father (74) and son (16) in to stay at Port Douglas B&B last month. Right from the first enquiry and booking I found Frieda most helpful. She kindly arranged the airport transfer from Cairns and made my father and son really feel at home. The customer service Colin and Freida gave during their 3 night stay was... More

The B & B is 4 minutes away from the southern side of four mile beach, so about an hour walk from Port Douglas itself, but what a walk - amazing views. We loved being there and found Frieda and Colin lovely. We really enjoyed talking with them and felt it was a shame we didnt have longer there. Breakfast... More

We spent three nights recently as Colin and Frieda's guests and found it to be one of the most hospitable places we've stayed. The room was spacious and clean. The garden was beautiful and tranquil, filled with blooming orchids, . Breakfasts were simple, yogurt and granola, delicious tropical fruit, fresh vegetables, breads, fresh juice, coffee. For us it was perfect.... More

My husband and I have had a wonderful 6 day stay at this bed and breakfast. Although unassuming from the street it opens into a tropical oasis with a spectacular pool surrounded by trees and potted plants. Frieda and Colin are exemplary hosts and extremely personable and interesting people. Leisurely breakfast was served in the courtyard. This B and B... More
