I booked my father (74) and son (16) in to stay at Port Douglas B&B last month. Right from the first enquiry and booking I found Frieda most helpful. She kindly arranged the airport transfer from Cairns and made my father and son really feel at home. The customer service Colin and Freida gave during their 3 night stay was... More

The B & B is 4 minutes away from the southern side of four mile beach, so about an hour walk from Port Douglas itself, but what a walk - amazing views. We loved being there and found Frieda and Colin lovely. We really enjoyed talking with them and felt it was a shame we didnt have longer there. Breakfast... More

We spent three nights recently as Colin and Frieda's guests and found it to be one of the most hospitable places we've stayed. The room was spacious and clean. The garden was beautiful and tranquil, filled with blooming orchids, . Breakfasts were simple, yogurt and granola, delicious tropical fruit, fresh vegetables, breads, fresh juice, coffee. For us it was perfect.... More

My husband and I have had a wonderful 6 day stay at this bed and breakfast. Although unassuming from the street it opens into a tropical oasis with a spectacular pool surrounded by trees and potted plants. Frieda and Colin are exemplary hosts and extremely personable and interesting people. Leisurely breakfast was served in the courtyard. This B and B... More

I stayed for a week at Frieda & Colin's gem of a B&B, using Port Douglas as a base for exploring the Daintree rainforest region, the Tablelands and the Barrier Reef. The house is an L-shape around a lovely courtyard garden with a pool and tropical plants. Breakfast is served in the courtyard and is a blend of traditional-northern-European (muesli,... More

My partner and I stayed at Port Douglas B&B Four Mile Beach for four nights in late November at the end of a three-week trip to Australia. Our main reason for staying in Port Douglas was to go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef and visit the tropical rainforest. The easiest place to fly into North Queensland is Cairns, but... More

Myself and my wife stayed here in December for 1 night on the way to Cape Tribulation and ended up staying an extra night on the way back. In hindsight we wished that we had stayed in this B&B for the full 5 days and used it as a base to explore the area on day trips. Frieda and Colin... More

I booked Port Douglas BB some months ago and found Frieda to be a great source of local information before I'd even arrived. Upon arrival, Colin and Frieda couldn't have been more welcoming. The accommodation provides a lovely relaxing ambience which is the theme throughout. Nothing is too much trouble and a fine balance is struck between being on hand... More

This small B&B at 4 mile beach is just a short bus ride from the main drag in Port Douglas and across the street from a beautiful stretch of beach on the Coral Sea. Frieda and Colin were delightful hosts. The spacious rooms opened onto a garden and pool where It was a pleasure sitting on the veranda having breakfast... More

This was our first ever accommodation in Australia, and we couldn’t have wished for a better introduction. Right from our initial booking contact, Colin and Frieda couldn’t do enough for us – they provided advice and suggestions both before and during our stay, and helped out with reservations for tours and more. The B&B was quiet, comfortable, and very well... More
