We spent three enjoyable nights at the Coral Sea in October 2014. Our first impression on arriving by car was not positive due to the cluttered appearance of the area in the back where you first drive in, but the guest area was much nicer, and the warmth of our hosts, Denise and daughter Michelle, soon made us feel at... We stayed at the Coral Sea Retreat for 6 night and we had a lovely time. Every started with a delicious breakfast and with 6 days we were able to tatse everything Marie and Denise and Michelle cooked for us. The distances to Port Douglas and the Daintree were perfect. The sunset from the veranda was every night beautifull.

We had a lovely stay at the bed and breakfast. Marie, Denise and Michelle were very kind and couldn't be more helpfull. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and each day you can choose between 4 different meals for breakfast. The location is also really nice.

We stayed five nights at the Coral Sea Retreat. We were warmly welcomed at our arrival and were given all the info we needed and no superfluous info. Denise, Mary Michael and not the least Michelle are great hosts that give just the right amount of service. They are easy to talk to but do not force themselves on you... More

Denise, Mary and last but not least Michelle really succeeded in giving us a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Especially loved the terrace with the wonderful view (and the baby python). Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, Location is a bit remote but certainly not a problem when you have a car. The view really makes up for it. Rooms are small... More

About 7 clicks from the tiny coastal town of Port Douglas (pop. 3,000 full time residents swelling to 12k during peak seasons) sits a unique little B&B with only two double occupancy guest rooms. The sleeping units are immaculately painted and tiled in pleasing “beach style”, and furnished with king sized beds (dressed in crisp white linens), night tables and... More

Not only are the views from the dining/lounge area fantastic, but the breakfast itself was superb, The common area overlooks the sea, with plenty of room and seating options. Some nights we cooked our dinner on the BBQ and dined with a spectacular view. Hospitality was terrific, which made this a very pleasant place to stay near Port Douglas. The... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this magical hillside home away from home. Denise is lovely and a font of knowledge and we had many great chats around things Australian so got an insight we wouldn't have otherwise had. We were going it alone, trying to maximise our Kiwi dollar, and were really appreciative of the outdoor kitchen gazebo, with... More

This a delightful and refreshing experience which travellers to the Australian tropics must not miss. Ten minutes from Port Douglas overlooking the Coral Sea on a vantage point that enables panoramic 180 degree views. Our hosts are astute and perceptive people and proud our their enviable plot in paradise. Nestled amongst flora indigenous to the area this is a haven... More

Perfect location above the tree tops looking out to the Coral Sea. Hosts were warm, friendly and accommodating. Quiet, peaceful but still close enough to Port Douglas for shops, entertainment etc. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a lovely location away from the crowds, the only sounds were the many birds and wildlife around the forest and gardens.
