Nice place to stay, great gardens, great accomodation and a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly people, all of this makes a holiday and a visit to the Pink Flamingo worthwhile. All very grown up actually, was nice to get away from the traditional check-in check-out standard venues. Pink Flamingo offers something unique, or a combination of many things that makes... More

Pink Flamingo is a small tropical and quiet resort just a short drive or pleasant walk from the main town centre. We had our own little courtyard with a hammock, outdoor setting and an outside bath and shower. Inside there was plenty of room for the two of us, with a large living area and bedroom as well as the... More

Designed to make the most of the tropical climate, huge, well-equipped, private villas are tucked into luxuriant surroundings with a very homely atmosphere. Loads of recommendations for local activities, and a well-stocked library for when you want to laze by the pool. Gigi and Andrea are very welcoming hosts. We'll be staying at the Pink Flamingo again when we return... More

We had a wonderful two nights at the Pink Flamingo. The apartment was very quiet and private, and packed with lots of lovely extra touches (we appreciated the proper coffee and the salts for the outdoor bathtub!). We'll definitely recommend to friends back in the UK.

Had a great stay with Gigi and Andrea in their funky tropical Port Douglas getaway. Our two schnoodles were welcome absolutely every where and really loved beach rides in the baskets of the resort's push bikes. They lounged by the pool and luxuriated in their colourful accommodations. They even tended the pool side bar - BTW the pool offers a... More

Helpful staff, lots of privacy, cats, birds (I could have lived without the 6am kookaburra though) and beautiful garden and pool. An easy 15 minute walk into town. Lots of books, DVD loans, pool table. Between us we had a villa (classy, very private, beautifully appointed) and a room. I was concerned the room might not be so good, and... More

Stayed for four nights and found it to be a great base for exploring the region. A little out of the centre but a short walk via a nearby path to Four Mile Beach. Very spacious rooms/outdoor areas great for chilling out after a hard day on the reef or in the Daintree. The gardens are like being in a... More

Very glad we chose to stay here - it is a unique place and very different to your run of the mill hotels. Gigi was welcoming and helpful and everything you could want has been provided here including sarongs and beach bags hanging in the kitchen cupboard. Somehow the riot of colours seems to work and the whole place is... More

This review is long over-due. The Pink Flamingo is wonderfully unique. We were married there in January 2014. It was an eloped with our beloved Akita, Indie. The rooms are big and open. Everything you need is in the room, cooking facilities, TV, DVD, huge bed, air-conditioning etc. The outdoor bath and shower are private, but you feel you are... More

The Pink Flamingo was a wonderful place to spend a few days. I was really impressed with all of the amenities (spacious suite; kitchen with coffee, tea, olive oil, S&P; great bath; comfy couch; book, game, and dvd library; pool area with grill and guest bar; pool table; laundry; plus more). The decor and atmosphere (especially the garden) were just... More
