As a solo traveller who normally lives in a tiny unit, I was over the moon with the massive townhouse with two bathrooms and huge comfortable bed. Everything was very clean and I saved a lot of money cooking for myself. The full kitchen and bathroom were useful, and I really enjoyed the balcony upstairs overlooking the pool. I loved... More

I bring a small group of school students to port Douglas every year and stay at tropical nites. It's perfect as the villas are amazing and the complex is super relaxing. The 3 bedroom villas give enough space for the students to wind down after a day of adventures in FNQ and having a small complex means I can easily... More

We stayed for 4 nights in a standard townhouse. The townhouse (#5) was very spacious. The furniture and flooring have seen better days but it was all functional and tidy. The bed was very confortable. My kids loved having the extra space. Free internet was available but it was only 50MB p/ day. The swimming pool was good to have,... More

I cannot recommend A Tropical Nites more strongly, we have been there each year for the last six and after discovering them last year we had no hesitation in re-booking. We honestly cannot fault it in any way, they are the cleanest and most comfortable we have stayed in. The location for us is perfect just a short 20minute walk... More

Our family of 5 stayed at tropical nites for 10 days. Our 3 bedroom villa was spacious and clean, with lovely views of tropical greenery. It was only a leisurely 15 minute walk into town. Tania and Damian were fabulous and were always there to help us out with any queries that we had about the services in Port Douglas.... More

We were a large group for a special birthday and had 4 3 bedroom units. They are self contained with 2 upstairs bedroom with bathroom & balconies and laundry, 1 downstairs bedroom & bathroom, kitchen dining and lounge. There was plenty of room to have 6 adults staying in the one unit. Very comfy beds. Tania & Damian were the... More

We stayed here for a week in August for a special birthday. We had four families staying there in 3 villas (including 5 kids). It was great as the kids could run safely to each others villas. The villas are very spacious and very clean with two large balconies. It is an easy walk into town and the beach. Most... More

We spent 7 nights at the Tropical Nites townhouses, and enjoyed our time there as it was a convenient base. At least in late July it appeared to predominantly cater to Australian families on tropical vacations, which did mean that the pool was busy and noisy during the day. It was about an 18 minute easy pace stroll to Macrossan... More

Stayed here a while back But I would recommend it to anybody looking for good quality family accommodation OR if you are travelling with other families/friends. Damien & Tania have a young family of their own and are a good source of knowledge for tours, activities and restaurants that will suit. Read more about it on my Blog AdventureMumma (Insider... More

We had a wonderful week here as part of a big family group - 4 families sharing 3 different townhouses, 8 children 6 and under, it was a perfect venue. Each townhouse was big, comfortable, clean and we could meet at the pool and the kids could play outside the townhouses together. The townhouses were very clean and well outfitted... More
