We stayed at the resort for 7 nights in early November 2006. The external facilities and service were fine - breakfast by the pool was a great way to start the day. The pool area was quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was good and the cost of alcohol was extremely reasonable. My main concern... More

We stayed in a studio spa room for our honeymoon and were a bit disappointed, especially as it had such good reviews on TripAdvisor. The resort itself is beautiful, the pools were small but lovely and it has a really convenient location close to restaurants. However, our room wasn't nearly as nice as the rest of the resort. On the... More

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days in September for our anniversary. We stayed in a 1 bedroom and chose the midweek service/weekly clean- they cleaned our room 3 times during our stay. We liked the privacy of the room and balcony and the apartment was well equipped. The room was also dark which suited us (as we... More

We stayed at the Hibiscus for 5 days (Oct 9-13 2006) and were somehow dissapointed. We were in a Studio room and chose the daily towel change option. The Pro's: well located to go to the beach and main street where you can find the major stores and restaurants and it's pretty quite. The Con's: was probably nice 10 years... More

We loved our stay at Hibiscus Gardens. The amazing garden setting makes for a beautiful place to relax. The two pools are a plus. Being seperate from each other, if one is busy just walk across to the other. We loved our room with its own little courtyard, kitchen area and huge bathroom. The location is fantastic with just a... Really enjoyed our stay at the Hibiscus Gardens - staff are friendly and helpful, our room was clean and very spacious with a nicely equipped kitchen area and huge bathroom and the pool area where breakfast is taken is a comfortable place for a leisurely start to the day. Another big plus for this place is its location - easy... More

Spacious clean, well equiped apartment, relaxing atmosphere, ideal location close (2-8 minute walk) to everything you would want in Port Douglas, shops, restaurants, beach, marina. 2 smallish pools, situated within tropical style gardens. Most suited to couples, or families with older children, pool areas are relatively small no real space for children to play around there ( our 11 year... More

Excellent stay at the Hibiscus Gardens. Hotel is well loacted very close to all amenities and town. Went on an excellent trip to the rainforest and Kuranda with WAYNE'S Tours. Wayne onlytakes a max of 12 people at once and his tour is really personal and friendly. I would recommend him. Hotel is lovely and clean, good swimming pools and... More

We just returned from Port Douglas, in the rain forest north of Cairns Australia. We stayed at the lovely Hibiscus Gardens while in Port Douglas and can only describe the setting as "magical." My husband and myself stayed at the Hibiscus Spa Resort for our honeymoon. We thought it was absolutely beautiful and didn't want to leave. The pools were just wonderful along with the coldwater spa. The setting was idylic, the atmospher relaxed, the hosts (ex-kiwis) very friendly and accommodating. You just have to savour the beautiful breakfasts by the pool available... More
