We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hibiscus Resort. We went as a family with two young children and it suited us perfectly. Great facilities, excellent pools and breakfast. Staff were lovely and helpful. Brilliant location - walking distance to the main street so we could access everything we needed easily. The rooms were comfortable but not luxurious - which... More

The location is great, walking distance to everything in town. The service is ok, one lady in particular was a little rude. We asked for a few things, considering they don't do daily house keeping, and didn't receive it until asked again. There are no elevators, so being on the top floor is tough with luggage. The ants in my... More

Hi Ashley We do have daily service we have three tiers of service in line with our environmental philosophy to leave as small a footprint as practical. Your agent booked the non service package. We will talk to the inbound agent in Australia to reinforce the various levels available. Yes there were kids about an unusual high number with the... More

We have just returned from a gorgeous week. The resort was a lovely mid-range accommodation, have seen lots of people on here Complaining, but remember this is not a five star resort, BUT is very good value. The pool area was just gorgeous, beautifully landscaped and relaxing environment. A Bali style pool area with plenty of relaxing space so that... More

We recently stayed at the Hibiscus Resort for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children (4 months and 2 1/2 years). We found that this resort was perfect to meet our needs. The location is excellent and close to all the important parts of Pt Douglas. We were able to... More

My partner & I stayed at Hibiscus spa resort for 8 nights. We were very happy with our choice after reviewing all resorts in Port Douglas. The location is fantastic & resort is set amongst lush tropical gardens, we stayed in a 1BR spa apartment which was well kept & included all necessities. We also booked a premium spa package... Recently we stayed at the Hibisus Resort for five days. Some of the Front desk staff were very friendly ( others ( older couple ) not so friendly ). Would have been nice to have towels changed maybe every second day. Continental breakfast was lovely, the staff were very friendly and cheerfull, and the pool setting was a nice start... More

Hibiscus Gardens is fabulously situated a block away from Macrossan St- very central. The pool area at the back of the property was beautiful. Would have been nice to order drinks, but you can take your own to enjoy while sitting in the sun. Only major drawback for us was the rock hard bed. Didn't sleep very comfortably during our... More

We stayed at the Hibiscus Gardens Resort in mid July 2013. It felt very tropical and the Bali theme was great and very natural. Our bed was only a double and the (air conditioned) bathroom was very underwhelming. As other posts comment, it is a little tired but overall I thought it was good value and right in the middle... Overall the Hibiscus resort is a great place to say, but I do think there could be some minor but important improvements. My husband and I stayed in a spa room in what was probably one of the worst rooms of the resort (backing onto the carpark, not the pool) but it didn't bother us as we were removed from... More

While this resort may not be ideal for the zimmer-frame set (stairs), it was a fabulous place to spend a few days and ideal for couples and families. The rooms were clean, and wonderful for the climate with a private balcony and lots of plantation shutters. People looking for chrome and glass will be disappointed, but anyone looking for a...
