We have just returned from our 7 night stay, the resort is in a great spot, easy walk to the main street, beach, marina, shops, restaurants. Our room was clean and spacious, the pool area was lovely. We had breakfast each morning at the resort which was nice. Its good value for money compared to some.

We had booked in February for a holiday in October. We were put in room 7 which is a ground floor room stuck in the corner closest to the car park, the garbage and the laundry. We had absolutely no view and privacy. Everyone who went to the car park looked in on us and people coming down the stairs... More

Overall we had a fantastic experience and our holiday was brilliant. We are a couple in our mid 40's travelling without children. Hibiscus gardens could have provided a lovely experience but I'm sorry to say our room was disappointing. We booked a spa room ( which may have dictated the type or room we had ). The room was tired,... More

The Hibiscus is the perfect setting for Port Douglas, it has that tropical feel in a great location, walking distance to the Main Street and to the beach. We attended a wedding in Port Douglas so we had a large group of people stay in the hotel and everyone was more than happy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit... More

This beautiful Bali inspired spa resort is 100 metres from the main shopping area in Port Douglas Village. Breakfast is served under a beautiful pavilion overlooking the pool area. The tropical fruits served are amazing. There are a multitude of restaurants to enjoy lunch and dinner as the resort only serves breakfast. The décor is mainly teak and cedar with... More

This property is very centrally located without being right in the Main Street. The pool area is lovely with big floating beanbags which look very relaxing. Lovely and quiet, rooms very comfy. Great staff.

My husband and I stayed at Hibiscus on a 5 night package for our honeymoon in June. We had booked a 1 bedroom spa room. On arrival we were told there was a problem with the tv in our room so we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom spa room on the top floor. After carting our... More

Good location and close to Macrossen Street and the lovely restaurants. Room dated and in need of modernizing and upgrade of furnishings. Not 4-5 star rating. Pools good but small. Nice tropical setting but would choose a higher rating next visit. Best rooms face onto the pools Had a rental car but only needed it to visit the Daintree and... More

Great location, lovely setting, some desk staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast staff cheery and welcoming. Room was nice but could of been cleaner. Towels not changed during 7 day stay. Not worthy of 4/5 star accomodation. Pleasant but could be so much better.

What a fabulous place! We were very pleasantly surprised after a long day of travel to walk into this beautiful place. The surroundings are tropical and very well done, the pools are gorgeous, the outdoor furniture fantastic and a great environment to relax in at any time of the day or night. After walking around town we were always pleased... More
