This place could be so much better. It is looking very tired. The Bali decore is from the 1980s and doesn't look like it been touched since. the tiles around the pool are wearing and chipped, the decking around the property could do with a lick of paint. The massive Hibuscus perched on the front wall of the property has... More

Recently returned from a 10 day stay at the Hibiscus resort and loved it, It was like going to Bali in Australia. Bali decorations and tropical gardens, friendly staff good service. Reasnobly priced suitable for older couples and families.

We stayed four nights at this resort. Beautiful tropical surroundings, great location walking distance into town. Friendly staff. Spa treatments available. Beautiful four mile beach, river cruise and day trips. Will definitely go back.

Was quite comfortable, but the room had not been properly cleaned. Purchased our stay via a group purchase site. The terms and conditions did not mention that the room would not be serviced. When queried, was told that would cost $25 per day, not the type of service you'd expect from a 4.5 star rating. Location, brilliant, short walk to... More

Hotel is very close to all shops and restaurants . Nice enough, but very dated. First room we got on the ground level, was dark and had a strong musty smell, I started coughing and and sneezing, they changed us to third floor, it was better, but definitely not luxury accomodation . For five days we stayed there towels were... More

Although almost in the center of Port Douglas, the resort is quiet and serene with Balinese touches of architecture. The accommodation was very spacious and well appointed even with its own kitchen and microwave. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are two pools with sun lounges. Breakfast is served around the main pool area with a limited number... More

We stayed for five days and found Hibiscus to suit our purposes well enough. The location cannot be faulted as it is a (very) short walk to the beach, marina and main shops. Staff were very friendly and full of genuinely helpful tips about the local sights and activities. Breakfast was basic but fresh, tasty and they had an espresso... More

My Mum and I made a sporadic decision to stay a night in Port Douglas at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. We came across this beautiful place just by driving around the area and were drawn to the Balinese style buildings and the lovely pool/landscape of the outdoor area. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Jay who was not... More

We spent a week at Hibiscus and couldn't have asked for more. We took a package with inclusions like welcome champas, two massages and dinner at a local restaurant. Staff were polite and very welcoming. The decor was a little old but the room was comfortable with a nice bed. Very close to Mocrossan Street, the wharf, supermarket and beach.... More

Could be done so much better. Breakfast is a farce, set up and food shortage comical, there's a Coles down the road! Make sure you bring your own toilet paper, be prepared to take your own bins out and use the same towels for the whole stay...
