We were very happy with our first-time stay at Hibiscus Gardens Spa Resort. Our room, on the second level, was comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we required. The ambience of the resort was very relaxing. It was well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was excellent – a variety of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, breads: coffee and... We were very happy with our stay at Hibiscus and don't share quite the same sentiments as some of the reviewers on Tripadvisor (granted we weren't promised the complimentary offerings the others paid for). Some of the reviews would suggest that the hotel is very tired and run down but although there are some signs of tiredness it is quite... More

We stayed here with a voucher deal which included 2 x 30min massages (excellent), a bottle of champagne and a continental breakfast each morning. Jay on reception was very helpful and friendly and she gave us a ground floor room which had a shower because I would have struggled with stairs because of a health concern. Our room was spacious... Much to our absolute shock, upon arrival of our 10 night stay at Hibiscus, we were greeted and advised that the resort was in the hands of the receivers. Why we were not advised beforehand seems to have been an oversight, we were told. Our back to back Luxury Escapes packages now did not include; the 2 bottles of sparkling... More

A bit tired, in the hands of the receivers, so many of the offers that we had purchased were not available. I guess we were lucky to have still had the accommodation, particularly as we had booked two rooms for a wedding But great location And great staff

Not far from the main street with all the shops and restaurants. The girls Jade and Toni helped us a great deal with what ever questions we had.2 blocks to the beach just a nice leisurely walk and then stop and have an ice-cream or cold drink before you start walking the beach. Walked to the top of the viewing... More

First off let me say the people working there are friendly and helpful, and the warm welcome at breakfast by Ah is delightful. The rooms are clean but a little tired and there is a lot a noise from the road and in-between units. We didn't receive any service to the room during the 7 days, and only received new... More

We stayed at the Hibiscus during peak school holiday period in July, using a package deal purchased via Luxury Escapes in 2014 (in addition to a peak season surcharge). The resort is currently under administration and despite the efforts of staff to portray a 'business as usual' approach, there has been a clear direction to curb all discretionary spending for... The location of this resort is fantastic ,a short stroll to the main Street of Port Douglas with all the shops and restaurants ,many of the other resorts are out of the main area and you need a car or have to catch trolleys ,so a big plus . The resort is Bali style and has two lovely pool areas... More

Had a wonderful 5 days at this lovely resort such a great location and lovely facilities. The breakfast lady "Ha or Ah" was such a personality and loved meeting her each morning. The lady at reception was not very friendly not rude just a bit officious. Our package was supposed to include champagne and strawberries on arrival these were non... More
