The resort is set in lush gardens with a central pool that creates a tropical atmosphere. Our apartment was decorated in Balinese style and had a private balcony where we enjoyed having our breakfast . We stayed there for 5 days and found the location very handy, within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops. more

We stayed at the Hibiscus for a week, is a lovely resort and the staff are fantastic, however was disappointed with a couple of things. First was the room, we chose to stay in the one bedroom spa apartment as I find having a kitchen handy when away for a week or longer and I love spas!! The kitchen was... more

A tropical gem - lush gardens (Balinese style) with nicely constructed big pool. We stayed one week with our 12 yo daughter in a 1br apartment. Simply loved the terrace from early morning to late evening. As mentioned in earlier reviews: just around the corner from everything - a hundred metres and one is smack in the middle of the... more

We stayed at this resort 3 years ago when we last visited Australia and when we were planning this trip, Hibiscus Gardens was the first place on our list of places to revisit. We stay in a 2 bedroom apartment which is roomy, clean with gorgeous balcony space to eat and relax. We like where this resort is located just... more

My wife and I had a wonderful tour of various places in New Zealand and Australia. There were no problems at any of the hotels we visited until we got to Hibiscus Garden Spa Resort. Hibiscus Gardens is a well decorated, but inefficiently run hotel. We arrived on the airport shuttle from Cairns at 7:15 PM. The reception office was... more

Blink and you would have missed the Hibiscus! Wooden planked walkway with a Thai feel. Just the right size pool, our boys 12 and 9 loved swimming and found the bubble machine too. We had 2 appartments interconnecting which was great. Aircon was fierce but controlable. Owen st is just off the main street, but quiet and so central. Spa... more

Hibisus Gardens Spa Resort was less than 1 minute walk to the main street and about two minutes from the beatiful beach. The Staff were helpful but didn't update room supplies etc. ver often. The hotel has two pools, both stunningly presented with landscaped gardens and clear blue water. Also a very good range of brochures at reception. I highly... more

The Hibiscus Gardens is a lovely tranquil hotel in a magnificent setting and very convenient for Port Douglas high street. I was a little bit wary as I had read reports of no AC in the bedrooms and very cold swimming pools - I was pleased to find that neither in fact was the case. We had a room complete... more

Stayed here for 4 nights during a trip along the East Coast around the middle of Feb. The resort itself is beautifully designed with an Eastern Spa feel. Has individual apartment areas with wooden steps leading up to each and a nice spacious apartment inside. Ours was for 3 people and we had a decent size living room and kitchen,... more
