Great place for large family get together. We flew in from Singapore. My parents and brother joined us from Malaysia. My sister and her family flew in from Sydney, escaping from the winter cold. We escaped from the scorching heat in Singapore. Four bedroom house enough to accommodate all of us. June was a perfect time, with lots of sunshine... More

We stayed for 11 nights at the Plantation resort in July 2014 with our two boys aged 11 and 12. This resort is perfect for families and couples who want to save money (for reef tours who are expensive) and living in a quiet, familiar and clean apartment with reasonable prices and plenty of facilities (kitchen, laundry). They offer interesting... More

my daughter and I stayed at the plantation resort recently for 10 days. we found the apartment to be spotless, they staff were so friendly and the pool was wonderful. even though it is a little bit out of town we would highly recommended it and plan to stay there on a next visit to port Douglas.

My sister, adult niece and I recently stayed for one night. The 2 bedroom apartment had plenty of room, including 2 ensuites. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the tropical steamy weather. The kitchen set up was ok for our brief stay. The back verandah overlooked a lush garden with lychee and mango trees. We loved the pool... More

It was great having two bathrooms in each room, and the apartment was well equipped. Highlight was defiantly the pool. Couldn't keep us out! Last night we had dinner at the bar/cafe which was delicious! There are permanent residents living at the resort, but all are friendly and welcoming!

The Plantation Resort probably isn't the "fanciest" hotel in Port Douglas, but we had a really great stay there in September. With two couples traveling together, it was ideal because we each had our own bedroom and bathroom, plus laundry facilities right in the room (awesome for drying your beach gear!) and a kitchen which allowed us to do some... We are a family of 4 adults. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment for 8 days. What a fantastic place. The apartment was spacious, clean and so well equipped. The grounds were beautiful and we loved the pool/bar area and tennis court. The food and cocktails were great. The hosts were amazing. So friendly and helpful. This was such... More

Rather a strange review as I did like the place and will probably stay again, but did have some problems. This property is not just vacationers. There are many apartments that are permanent residents. We were put in an 2 bedroom in a section with several residents. Unfortunately next door was a very young group who were night owls and... We stayed at the resort for 13 nights and had an amazing time. Not many resorts offer you a 15 metre swimming pool you have to yourself 90% of the time with super friendly staff. The cafe /bar offers delightful food at a very reasonable price and the generous pour of any wine was greatly appreciated.Just need to remember it's closed Mon/Tues... From the moment we drove into the Plantation Resort, we knew that we were going to have a lovely stay. The lush surroundings were a great setting for the different sized accommodation units and the the faint sound of the waterfall in the pool area was tempting us to kick back, relax and dive straight into the gorgeous pool. We... More
