My family spent a week here in January '15. Overall this place was pretty good. It's in an absolutely fantastic location right on the beach (and right near the stinger nets if you're there in stinger season), and only a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping/food strip of Macrossan st. We stayed in a 2 bedroom beachview apartment,... More

Not the nicest place we have ever stayed. The internet pictures were very different of the room we stayed in(215 & 217). Very poor airconditioning. Not enough insite parking due to cleaners parking in guest spots.

Small, Frumpy & old! Our apartment was nothing like what was advertised online! So overpriced for what it was... We might as well have slept on the tiled floor! The bed was as hard as a rock! We found bugs in the sheets and a dead cocorach under the pillow. No room service or any type of friendliness from staff... More

The location was wonderful - across the street from the beach and a short walk up to the main street. The pricing was in line with beach front accommodation however we were very let down by the poor condition of the apartment - they really seem to have no updating for many years. The reception staff were also on the... More

A wonderful place to stay. Right on the sea front. Nice and clean would stay again. But It would cost me a hell of a lot to come over from the UK. May be in a couple of years time. Shops and restaurants bars just up the road. Great for a relaxing holiday.

Stayed a week in this great location with beach across the road. Nice terrace on ground floor overlooking beach - nice and private. Apartment was a bit tired tho - bathroom very, very tiny - definitely a one person bathroom with no room for toiletries as there was no vanity. Living area nice and big with a well equipped kitchen,... More

I agree with the other comments, the pictures on here are completely misleading to what you walk into! The apartment was old and really needed to TLC, however we only really used it for sleeping. When we arrived, there was a lot of confusion as to where we were staying and what our apartment name was, as on our hotel... More

We lucked into a stay at the Terrace through Expedia --- got nine days across from 4 Mile Beach for about $1,000. We were NOT on the beach facing side but in the neat little apartments out back. Here we had two bedrooms, washer dryer, full kitchen, tennis court, swimming pool -- the works in airy, air conditioned comfort. The... More

We had a last minute long weekend trip to Port Douglas and as pretty regular visitors knew we wanted to be close to the beach. The Terraces position is second to none but the unit really needs some maintenance. The front sliding door lock is broken, light bulbs need replacing, the blinds are broken, there is a layer of dust... More

You cannot improve on the location, but these very shabby apartments need money spent NOW! We bargained the rate down to $272/night from a stratospheric $340. That buys two bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom, a huge north-facing balcony which extends to front and offers super views of beach and sunrise, kitchen-dining-lounge downstairs. Everything is a good twenty or more... More
