We spent 5 nights in the Villa which is totally private, luxurious, artistic, impeccably clean and has wondrous views. Our companions were the birds and butterflies, the forest and at night the sky and stars. Anthony and Andre are genuine in their desire to ascertain the type of holiday each guest is seeking and then to unobtrusively facilitate those wishes.... More

Mai Tai is unexpected - think Balinese retreat in the North of Queensland. The Buddhas, hangings and furniture fit seamlessly into their tropical setting - and the four well-behaved mountain dogs just add to the ambience. Hosts Anthony and Andre entertain with a feast of information on the area and stories of their travels. Delicious Continental breakfast included - altogether... More

We just spent 3 nights at Mai Tai & felt like we had a great retreat. Loved the Bali style decorations etc. Had a very enjoyable breakfast every morning, waited on like royalty! Loved the dogs & cats lazing around the place, gave it a relaxed homely feel. Lots of great advice from the boys about all things to do... More

Stayed here as part of my wife's 50th birthday trip. Luxury villa to ourselves nestled at the top of the resort - outdoor plunge pool, sweeping rainforest and sea views - coupled with the perfect hosts (and tropical brekkie). If you're looking for luxury, look no further - possibly the best villa I've stayed in, in Australia. We will return... More

Having seen how crowded and noisy it is in Port Douglas town these days, we were pleased that we opted to stay at the peaceful and relaxing Mai Tai. Perched half way up the escarpment on the road to Mt Molloy, the Mai Tai has great views of the rainforest as well as views to Cooya Beach and Mossman, and... More

Once you have stayed at Mai Tai, holiday accommodation elsewhere will forever fall short. Before our arrival, I received confirmation of my booking by email from Anthony who suggested that we book tours and restaurants early as this was the busiest time of year. So, having no idea how to choose from the myriad of offers available to tourists, I... More

My girlfriend & I recently had a fantastic experience at the Mai Tai resort. We were looked after superbly by Andre, who even produced a wonderful surprise gift for my girlfriends birthday. I just wanted to say thanks to the 2 guys for the excellent advise & service they offered us during our stay. Just a note; the hotel is... More

The Mia Tai resort is everything it promises, and my wife and I enjoyed our trip immensely. From reading the other reviews we had a fair idea of what to expect but the 2 points I would add are the views from the eating area across the ancient rain forest and the tranquility only broken by the noise of a... Andre' and Anthony were amazing hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. Great restaurant recommendations, delicious breakfast every morning, let us watch their DVD collection on our lazy day in and even supplied us with cutlery when we had takeaway! The room was beautiful and clean and they just had soundproof glass doors installed so there was heaps... More

We spent three nights at the Mai Tai resort and just loved it. It's nestled up in the hinterland about a 15 minute drive from Port Douglas. It was perfect for us as we had spent 4 nights down near the beach and then wanted to be closer to Mossman and the Daintree for a few nights. You couldn't ask... More
