We stayed at Mai Tai for three days, I just wish it was longer. We were welcomed by friendly hosts Anthony and Andre. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the outdoor shower and the garden area with fantastic views. Breakfast was delicious. We will stay again next time we are in Port Douglas. Thank you Andre and... More

As soon as you arrive at Mai Tai you realise that this isn't your ordinary hotel. I had no sooner opened up my car door to be greeted by Andre who then proceeded to take our bags up to our room and point out all of the features. The personal touches are a welcome change. Each subsequent day that I... More

After a week at a conference at one of the large, mainstream, Port Douglas resorts, our three nights at Mai Tai resort were a welcome change. Around ten minutes by car from the Port Douglas township, this Balinese beauty offers privacy, stylish gardens, rooms with personality, commanding views, friendly hosts and a delightful breakfast. Mai Tai is close to Mossman... More

The resort is absolutely stunning, the grounds, the pool makes you feel like you are in a luxury Bali resort not Australia. We found having a resort outside of Port Douglas is a plus as the view is spectacular, it is quit and the town is only 10-15 minutes away. Also the resorts in Port Douglas look like resorts anywhere... More

Our stay here was a highlight of our trip through Australia and Southern New Zealand. Mai Tai Resort is in the mountains on the outskirts of the Rain forest and provides peace and serenity the moment one arrives. The view from the breakfast patio is one of the most exquisite views we have ever experienced. We took picture after picture... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and were hosted by Andre and Anthony. I still find myself giggling about the hilarious chats we had, what an amazing and entertaining couple. The boutique hotel has 4 suites in the main hotel and we got to view the deluxe suit outside the main hotel which is very well styled and attention to... More

We had a wonderful 5 night get-away in May. There is just so much to like about the Mai-Tai: the rooms and décor are superb - we especially loved the outdoor shower; the views from the deck are stunning; it's close enough to Port Douglas to be easily accessible yet far enough away from the crowds; best of all Anthony... Mai-tai Resort is the perfect getaway from the crowds at Port Douglas. We were treated more like family friends rather than resort guests. Anthony and Andre our hosts, offered great advice on where to dine and have a wealth of knowledge about the region. They also organised our full day reef adventure which was absolutely fantastic. We would also recommend... More

My partner and I have just spent 3 relaxing days at the Mai Tai. Anthony and Andre were very welcoming and the perfect hosts for our stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable, private and I loved the outdoor shower. Very sad to leave but we hope to come back again. I liked being slightly away from the hustle... More

My wife and I decided to start our honeymoon at Mai Tai to relax and 'zen out' for a couple of nights. We certainly picked the right place. Staying in the Orchid Suite, we had inspiring private views of the mountains and the coral sea. Andre was our amazing host, we had some great chats and he was very kind... More
