We recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and stayed at Peninsula hotel. The location was perfect with a lovely beach outlook from our balcony. Our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We would not hesitate to return.

Location was fantastic and we would book another holiday there for this reason alone. The gardens, pool and outdoor restaurant area were gorgeous. Our room was comfortable but dated with a couple of annoying things to contend with. On day one of our 10 night stay we reported the dishwasher was out of order and the promise to swap it... More

This was our sixth trip here. We, amongst others at the breakfast area, commented about the formula supermarket bread & the passé Kraft jams. Today on our last day, some lovely wholemeal artisan style loaf appeared? Why not every day- Brumbys' bakery is about 200m from the hotel, & they have a wide range. What about all the lovely French... More

Just spent four nights in this wonderfully located boutique hotel in Port Douglas. Lovely aspect overlooking the beach and excellent service with some nice touches. Definitely will stay there again. Only suggestion is that the tile floors were a bit 'gritty' so perhaps a more thorough daily sweep and/or wipe...

We were lucky enough to have 10 nights here and from the moment we arrived the welcoming couldn't have been better. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, our apartment #36 overlooked the pool so we always had something to look at. We had the sun virtually all day which was fabulous in June. Our apartment was very spacious,... More

Location can't be beat - you're across the street from the beach. The rooms were airy and large - you can open up all the sliding doors to open up the bathroom to the bedroom to the living area (with couch, kitchen, and balcony). The pool is small but pretty and inviting. AND there are free washing machines and dryers,... More

We spent 5 very memorable days here in a beachfront suite and loved it. The room was lovely, clean, and had a comfy bed. Just a short walk out our patio door to the beach. The pool is fantastic with many different levels and areas to relax or swim, sit in the shade or sun. A nice continental breakfast was... More

As we entered the reception area we were welcomed by warm, friendly staff which set the tone for our 3 day visit .As has been said before this hotel is situated in a very convenient spot. Our apartment's balcony overlooked the four mile beach and was perfect for an early evening stroll before a drink in the bar. We appreciated... More

We recently stayed at this hotel, advertised as a boutique luxury hotel and priced accordingly at $400 per night. The location was excellent - beachfront and an easy stroll from shops and restaurants, but this was really the only redeeming feature. The rooms were adequate but the dishwasher did not work and we were berated by housekeeping for placing dishes... More
