After reading reviews I had specifically requested a renovated room however tis was not so. The room was tired and dark and dated with kitchen facilities poor (small fridge) and only 2 element cooktop. Positives were the location, bedding was clean and comfortable and nice pool however needs an upgrade. General grounds and gardens untidy and neglected for a so... More

I stayed in room 105 in March 2014. I was highly impressed with the room which had clearly just been renovated to an extremely high standard with quality fixtures and fittings. The bathroom was huge, clean and modern. The bedroom had the comfiest bed! The huge TV could be adjusted to face the lounge area or the bed. My favourite... More

Our room hadn't been recently renovated, though we had everything we needed and it was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, especially of you have a wedding at the Sugar Wharf. It's near the Coles and the bulk of the pubs and restaurants. Our room looked out towards the park, which was a nice outlook. Certainly not flashy, though... More

The location to the shops and marina is very conevenient. However the accommodation itself could do with a makeover. There were many things in our unit that were either broken or rusting and the decor was very dated. The lounge was propped up by pavers as one leg was broken, a shutter to keep the sunshine out was of little... More

We had been to Port Douglas to catch a ride to the Reef but this time we stayed there and fell in love with the place. From the arrival follow up call, check-in to checkout we were thoroughly impressed. Stunning rock Lilly ponds right from the verandah/outdoor kitchenette! The room was so spacious and great bang for your buck!

I was advised that the rooms are privately owned, so each may be differently appointed. I was impressed with the room I stayed in: Samsung 55" TV, Panasonic HDD PVR, Yamaha stereo, quality bathroom fittings, a kitchenette on the balcony with quality fittings and ocean views. The bed was comfortable and there was also a large lounge to relax on.... More

Had read the reviews so was a bit wary - but booked late so had to take what was on offer - and was more than pleasantly surprised. A large freshly renovated queen sweet with west facing views out over a magnificent water garden with live water lillies and overshadowed by tall towering palms. A good sized balcony with a... More

Room was basic but all we needed. Cooking facilities were average at best as were the beds. Pool was nice and the resort itself is in an excellent location. Would stay again provided the price is right

Stayed with friends in a 3 bedroom apartment - very disappointing. Through bad luck our bedroom window faced the pubs - very noisy every night between midnight and 1:30am, the Police station may be opposite but be assured they don't do anything to keep the area reasonably quiet. The rooms with windows facing other directions heard nothing. Our room was a... More

We turned up without a booking around 6pm to find the reception closed, but found an after hours phone and checked in over the phone and were directed to find the keys in a safe. The room was large and comfortable, with a kitchen on the balcony. I don't think we had any neighbours as we didn't hear anyone all... More
