I love Port Douglas; it has a fabulous and safe beach with warm water, easily the best in the region (if you want big surf, do not go to the Great Barrier Reef). I wanted somewhere on Macrossan Street (which has all the restaurants, shops etc and is most attractive) but as near to the beach as I could afford.... more

Excellent location walking out the front door to the beach and close to the heart of Port Douglas.
