After reading other reviews I can see that there have been improvements. Nice updated look rooms. Fresh, clean, nice quality linens and towels were available whenever requested at the front desk. The hotel has amazing pools, rooms are nica and fully equipped with air conditioning(really necessary in summer). Service its not good but the hotel has a nice tennis court and gym. Location is great although the sea is infested by stingers. Port Douglas is a really beautiful city, scuba cruises at the great barrier reef are strongly recommended. more

We arrived at the hotel hot and bothered to sea exactly what the pictures and blurbs described! The big pools, big white walls etc. Then we walked to our room and found the smell of chip fat and mould greet our noses. It smelt just awful but there was no other way to get to our room.
