Our two-bedroom apartment at the Mediterranean was large, clean and very well appointed. We have ok complaints whatsoever. It is a 20-minute walk into the centre of Port Douglas, and there is good beach access nearby. Highly recommended.

After a long trip from France with two teenage boys, it was a pleasure to be welcomed by Craig who immediately made us feel at home with all the information and advice we could need. The apartment was very spacious with a well equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The pleasant pool was great for an evening dip and... More

Well, you get what you pay for and I would say that this place was good value for the money. It is a little tired out, but definitely not to the extent of the low reviews that some people gave it. For the three of us adults there was lots of space and privacy and the total unit was larger... More

This place is not worth staying at unless you like "roughing it" the room was dirty and smelt like an Indian Curry House...was so bad we had to buy air freshener...the sheets had holes in them...the blanket in the dirty cupboard smelt like a bin...and the dryer never switched off...the pool was dirty the walls were made of cardboard (could... We recently stayed at the Mediterranean in Port Douglas. We found our room well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was quite large in hotel apartment standards. This Hotel complex is not your average 100 room complex. It is much smaller which we found to be perfect for our holiday. It allowed us... More

Spent four nights here while on vacation with my family (my wife, my 2 yr old daughter, and my parents). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Building is not modern, but rooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchenettes were well stocked with the necessary utensils and appliances. The in-room washer and dryer came in handy. The staff was friendly, laid back,... More

Not for Clean freaks. Very, very tired units. Southerners - beware! Elsewhere is better. Car parking - excellent Old unrenovated cabins won't suit sophisticated South dwelling sophisticates - like me!

Booked as an extended family for a wedding. Warmly greeted on arrival at this gated block of units. (most accommodation is gated in Port Douglas) I need a ground floor apartment as I am disabled and don't do stairs well. Imagine my Surprise when I found a gecko on the toilet button! More Surprises yet to come. Like the kitchen... More

Like other reviewers mentioned each unit is individually owned and you have no idea what you are getting 'til you arrive. We travelled with other friends who had an upstairs apartment which was in better condition to ours so not all are the same. Our unit '3' was filthy. The oven was unusable, the fridge door, lounge and kitchen drawers... More
