We had a fantastic family holiday at this park. The staff were fantastic very friendly and genuine and the amenities lovely and clean. The children had one of their best holidays to date. Which means so do my husband and myself. We will defiantly be back.

We've stayed here for 4 nights for work at the end of July. Nice grounds, beautiful bush setting, bathrooms quite clean & facilities for cooking, washing etc all available. I thought it worth noting the washing machines & driers are in the eating area,so if you work long days as we do,its a bit embarrassing trying to bundle your undies... More

We only stayed one night at the park (we have a caravan), but we found it to be in a beautiful, quiet, tropical location. We had an ensuite site which was excellent. The park was in the process of building a water park which will be fantastic in the summer months. Service was friendly and whilst a little way out... More

This Big4 is in a really nice location set just on the outskirts of Port Douglas. I loved being out amongst the rainforest rather than in town. We stayed in an ensuite cabin which had a great balcony. The rooms were clean, maybe a little dated but nothing to complain about really. My daughter loved the big giant jumping pillow.... More

We stayed here on the first night of out motorhome adventure, the park offered good facilities and we had a good powered site at a reasonable price. The only negative or could be a positive for some was if you have a motorhome you have to unhook everything to drive into Port Douglas itself as it was too far to... More

Wow, where to start! The attitude of receptionists, apart from Diana, was abysmal and disinterested. We were made to feel like we were an imposition because we were booking into their park. I might add, we had previously booked ahead. Park is staffed mainly be backpackers, no problem there, but not the same as employing locals. They are working for... More

We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights and we really liked the campground it was on of the best. There is also free wifi at the reception... But the staff is so unfriendly! Horrible! They were ignoring us and have there own talk, they didn't care... I mean we wanted to check out and I had to walk by... More

Spent six nights here on a lovely powered site. Amenities very clean, but using the combined bathroom/toilet for just a toilet stop after someone has had a shower and the whole floor is wet, isn't the best, and no soap or handtowels are provided, as the presumption is you have your own. The individual toilet blocks were locked when we... More

We arrived by chance for one night but had no trouble getting a space as it was low season. The pitch next to the amenity section was ideal. Showers and toilets were perfect, the cooking section with gas rings, barbecue and kettle excellent and there was even a tumble dryer in the enclosed, roofed area. Since we had torrential rain,... Situated between the Great Barrier Reef and the Ancient World Heritage Rainforest, Port Douglas is a unique link to the diversity of Australia, with its accessibility to the Reef, Rainforest and Outback.Up here in Far North Queensland you have an area that is unique to any other part of Australia, and Port Douglas is so close to many area's that offer so much for a traveller to experience. For the more adventurous there are many varied tours and activities that are sure to wet the appetite of the most intrepid traveller. After choosing your camp site, powered or ensuite site or checked into a cabin or two bedroom villa there is plenty to see and do in Port Douglas and surrounding areas. Explore the Markets, the many and varied shops or have a coffee in one of Port's cosmopolitan Cafes, explore our natural attractions, take a trip to the Reef or self drive to Daintree National Park. A must see is Mossman Gorge with it's gorgeous 2.8Km walk around the national park, through some of the most spectacular rainforest (this is the start of the Daintree Rainforest). There is also the option of day trips to places such as Kuranda via the Train and Skyrail, the Atherton Tablelands, Cape Tribulation or even Cooktown. Surrounded by natural wonders, Port Douglas offers a relaxing holiday destination with its spotless beaches and sparkling freshwater creeks. It is impossible to see and enjoy all that this area has to offer in a day. Our guests so often book in for 2 nights and end up staying for quite a few more just so they can experience all that the area has to offer. Experience all BIG4 Glengarry Holiday Park, Port Douglas and surrounds have to offer while enjoying the gorgeous weather of the tropics. We all need time out now and again whatever the weather, so discover the breathtaking northern tropics of Australia in our "GREEN SEASON" months at Port Douglas (December to March). The "GREEN SEASON" is often dramatic, wildly beautiful and eagerly awaited by our tropical rainforests. Without our annual rainfall, there would be no rainforest and, as many visitors discover, our 'Liquid Sunshine' doesn't usually interfere with diving, snorkeling or touring. The climate is seductive. Balmy days dissolve into tropical evenings. The tropics are a feast for the senses whether we have summer showers or warm sunshine during Winter. If all this is not enough, only 40 minutes drive to the south is Cairns with its shops, movie theatres, restaurants and beautiful Esplanade lagoon. ... more   less
