Glengarry Park was recently highly recomended to us as a lovely palce to host a function by the pool...so my husband and I visited a couple of weeks ago to take a closer look at a place we'd often driven past but never driven in to take a look. Our first impression was very positive, with lovely friendly servcie from... More

This park is a few k's south of Port Douglas which is a tad inconvenient but nice surroundings. Staff on arrival were very helpful and booked our reef cruise day for us. The camp sites seem overbooked though and we were put down a slope with a mismatch of power leads and power boxes linked to each other by extension... More

Sorry you did not enjoy your stay as much as we hoped. With a quick visit from the electrician we have hopefully overcome the power issues you experienced. I would suggest if you enjoy more space & less crowds & the pick of our best sites, you might like to visit us a little earlier in the year, perhaps June... More

We've stayed in big 4 campsites all around the east coast, unfortunately this had to be one of the worst! On arrival, the staff were excellent, extremely helpful but when we went to our pitch, there was no way our vehicle would fit within the space!! We asked the staff again to which the reply was, there's loads of room!... More

I am glad you did enjoy our lovely large new Family Bathrooms & we do try to be helpful as possible & share our knowledge of the area so everyone can enjoy our wonderful little part of the world. While our park is quite large with at least 10 acres of tropical gardens it does get very busy in July... More

There are great showers and facilities at this site. A shuttle bus 6km trip from Port Douglas, they put on a free trip at 6pm. Spacious espcially when compared with the sites closer to the town. Gets busy in the dry season but plenty of space.

We left our booking until a week out from staying in Port Douglas so we were unable to get a caravan site in a park close to Port Douglas. We did manage to get seven days in the Big 4 caravan park Glengarry. The park is well cared for but is a long way out of town, so the experience... More

We enjoyed our stay at this park. It is beautiful, with well maintained gardens, and grassy shrub lined sites. The amenities are very modern and clean with a very well equipped camp kitchen. The pool and children's play area was also very lovely. We drove past a couple of other parks in Port Douglas and they did not look a... More

For our first stop on our first motor home trip we were impressed by this campground. Beautiful site, great (but freezing) pool, very clean BBQ and amenities. It was a perfect spot for our little kids too with heaps of grass to crawl around on and stay out of trouble.

Balmy days dissolve into tropical evenings. The tropics are a feast for the senses whether we have summer showers or warm sunshine during Winter.
