Wow, where to start! The attitude of receptionists, apart from Diana, was abysmal and disinterested. We were made to feel like we were an imposition because we were booking into their park. I might add, we had previously booked ahead. Park is staffed mainly be backpackers, no problem there, but not the same as employing locals. They are working for... More

We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights and we really liked the campground it was on of the best. There is also free wifi at the reception... But the staff is so unfriendly! Horrible! They were ignoring us and have there own talk, they didn't care... I mean we wanted to check out and I had to walk by... More

Spent six nights here on a lovely powered site. Amenities very clean, but using the combined bathroom/toilet for just a toilet stop after someone has had a shower and the whole floor is wet, isn't the best, and no soap or handtowels are provided, as the presumption is you have your own. The individual toilet blocks were locked when we... More

We arrived by chance for one night but had no trouble getting a space as it was low season. The pitch next to the amenity section was ideal. Showers and toilets were perfect, the cooking section with gas rings, barbecue and kettle excellent and there was even a tumble dryer in the enclosed, roofed area. Since we had torrential rain,... Just back from 5 nights at Glengarry. Beautiful kept holiday park with lots of tropical vegetation making each camping spot feel quite private. Staff were really pleasant and helpful, making suggestions of which trips and attractions might suit us with a 5 year old. Pool and jumping pillow always a hit with kids. Only 10 min drive into Port Douglas... More

Glengarry Park was recently highly recomended to us as a lovely palce to host a function by the pool...so my husband and I visited a couple of weeks ago to take a closer look at a place we'd often driven past but never driven in to take a look. Our first impression was very positive, with lovely friendly servcie from... More

This park is a few k's south of Port Douglas which is a tad inconvenient but nice surroundings. Staff on arrival were very helpful and booked our reef cruise day for us. The camp sites seem overbooked though and we were put down a slope with a mismatch of power leads and power boxes linked to each other by extension... More

Sorry you did not enjoy your stay as much as we hoped. With a quick visit from the electrician we have hopefully overcome the power issues you experienced. I would suggest if you enjoy more space & less crowds & the pick of our best sites, you might like to visit us a little earlier in the year, perhaps June... More

We've stayed in big 4 campsites all around the east coast, unfortunately this had to be one of the worst! On arrival, the staff were excellent, extremely helpful but when we went to our pitch, there was no way our vehicle would fit within the space!! We asked the staff again to which the reply was, there's loads of room!... More

I am glad you did enjoy our lovely large new Family Bathrooms & we do try to be helpful as possible & share our knowledge of the area so everyone can enjoy our wonderful little part of the world. While our park is quite large with at least 10 acres of tropical gardens it does get very busy in July... More

Surrounded by natural wonders, Port Douglas offers a relaxing holiday destination with its spotless beaches and sparkling freshwater creeks. Experience all BIG4 Glengarry Holiday Park, Port Douglas and surrounds have to offer while enjoying the gorgeous weather of the tropics. We all need time out now and again whatever the weather, so discover the breathtaking northern tropics of Australia in our "GREEN SEASON" months at Port Douglas (December to March). The "GREEN SEASON" is often dramatic, wildly beautiful and eagerly awaited by our tropical rainforests. Without our annual rainfall, there would be no rainforest and, as many visitors discover, our 'Liquid Sunshine' doesn't usually interfere with diving, snorkeling or touring. The climate is seductive. Balmy days dissolve into tropical evenings. The tropics are a feast for the senses whether we have summer showers or warm sunshine during Winter. If all this is not enough, only 40 minutes drive to the south is Cairns with its shops, movie theatres, restaurants and beautiful Esplanade lagoon. ... more   less
