We spent 3 nights at the Reef Palms. We had a very quiet room and the self-laundry facilities were good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and best of all were the managers who were kind, courteous and very helpful. Warren Fish

The team at Reef Palms really go out of their way to make sure their guests have a great stay. They are always friendly and happy to help, and nothing is too much trouble. This place is also great value for money, as you will pay a lot more for a tiny hotel room in Cairns City. Our room was... More

Motel was further away from restaurants than we expected. Most are around the centre which is about a half hour walk away. Courtesy bus was available but didn't always fit in with when we wanted to go. Room was comfortable but limited kitchen facilities ie 2 Hobs and a microwave but no conventional oven. Pool was good. Good range of... More

Going by the earlier trip advisor reviews we booked this hotel and had no regrets whatsoever. Susan and David, the owners, are friendly and ensured we had a pleasant stay. They helped us with our bookings to see the Great Barrier Reef and suggested other interesting things we could do in Cairns. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, with... More

I travelled here with my girlfriend for 5-days after spending 2 weeks around Brisbane and Noosa. First of all, we missed our outbound flight which caused a 10-hour delay meaning we'd arrive at around 01:00. I called reception and spoke to Sharon who was very sympathetic and explained a late check in wouldn't be an issue; she gave me a... More

Reef palms is at the north end of Cairns - the quieter end, a bit away from the shops and night life. It's about a one kilometre walk down the Esplanade to where the action is. That suited us fine. The rooms are a good size, very clean, well maintained and equipped. The self catering provision is good. We had... More

Great rooms, very spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Good kitchen allows for effortless cooking when needed. The staff is exceptionally hepful and friendly, they will go to great lenght in assisting you, for booking excursions for example. City centre is a 25 min. walk from the hotel, but it is along the boardwalk, so a superb and entertaining way to... More

Just asking, has nothing to do with this great hotel. The staff are really helpful, even drove me to airport to track down wallet I left on plane. Nice location, close to a couple good restaurants. They book your reef and jungle tours for you, which is super convenient. Ice cold ac and comfortable beds...if you're in cairns, stay here....... More

From our initial reservation call to four wonderful nights we enjoyed Reef Palms. The hosts David and Sharon are gracious and caring. Our room was spacious, clean, airy, great for sleeping, and for self catering. The location is close to everything you need but still in a quiet neighborhood. The price is a great value for what you get. Allan... More
